Let Me Love You

Chapter 1: The Confession

Nysa's POV

My heart was beating tremendously as I stood outside my classroom while looking inside as if it was a whole new world for me. My fingers clenched onto my books so tightly as I felt my head spin for a moment from all the thinking that I was doing in my head.

"Nysa-" I gasped as a hand fell on my shoulder, lightly tapping me to sanity.

"Oh my god it's you," I breathed in relief as my best friend, Jade eyed me.

"Why are you standing outside, come on, go in, he is sitting there alone, this is your chance!" She hissed at me like some coach motivating his student to run past that finishing line.

I gulped as I felt my nervousness and anxiety getting the best out of me. Just seeing him sit before me, at his usual desk, his fingers toying with a black pen as his eyes were fixed into an empty space, made my heart race even faster than it ever did in life before.

"Come on Nysa, don't make me push you now!" Jade hissed as I gulped with a nod.

"Okay, I am doing this," I said as I stepped inside as I heard a muffled cheer from her, boosting my confidence.

Walking up to his desk, I met his dark eyes, the usual blank expression he gave out to nearly everyone. Placing my books down onto the desk, I sat beside him as I heard small whistles and whispers arise from the back as I turned to face my other classmates giving us 'the' look.

"What do you want?" He asked all of a sudden making my breath hitch as I turned to face him.

"I need to talk to you," I said shifting into my seat as I slightly turned to my right to face him properly.
"I'm listening," he looked unbothered.

"Ryan I-" I inhaled a soft breath as he met my eyes. He raised an eyebrow giving me a questioning look as I decided to keep an eye contact with him.

"I like you Ryan," I blurted out, for a minute thinking I wasn't clear from his reaction but then I knew he heard me right.

"And I don't know about your feelings, but I respect whatever your answer would be, you can take your time as well-" I quickly added on as his eyes remained fixed to the floor.
The heat from within my body was unbearable. I could feel my heart racing as I sat beside him.

He was surprisingly quiet, with no reply at first. For a moment I thought he didn't really comprehend my question, more like confession.

"So what do you want me to do?" He asked as I frowned.

"Nothing, I mean its your decision, I just had to confess to you because I didn't want to keep it to myself-" I said, obviously a little offended by his words.

"I don't know," he shrugged making my frown even more evident.
"What do you mean you don't know?" I asked.

"I don't know what to say, no, I don't know-" he looked confused.
"Okay you know what, just leave it right here," I said standing up with my books.

"Yeah, I have to go," he stood up as well and dashed out of the classroom before me as I watched him leave with a slightly shattered heart and anger.

"What the hell he means by 'I dont know'!" Jade snapped with her hands up in the air angrily. I glanced at her as I decided to ignore her tantrum and stay silent.

"He is just a jerk, I don't know why do you even like him!" She blabbered to herself as she sat down on the bench after realizing we were being watched by some other students who occupied the benches close by us.

"Nysa, just don't think of it, he is one huge jerk, I don't know how blind is he to see a perfect girl before him!" She hissed as I let out a deep sigh.

"Will you calm down, I am fine Jade, besides, its just like a crush, I will be over this in like a month or so," I smiled as she smiled back. But little did I know, my heart had crossed its limit of 'just a crush' and was ringing love bells which I left unheard.

Honestly I am kind of excited and nervous all at once for this...so yeah😂😂
