Jaune POV:

As we walked up to the workshop, I knocked on the door and, a voice called out. "Coming," then, a minute later, a fox faunus came out wearing a brown apron and safety glasses. "Who are you, people?" He asked and, we showed him his little sister, which he immediately ran towards and hugged, crying that she was finally back.

After a bit more talking, we managed to get him to change our weapons to shoot our regular and dust rounds. He also made some weapons for the village people, which we arranged to train the basic in shooting so they could have a way to defend themselves.

I asked the governor why they didn't have any soldiers or huntsmen. He told me since they accepted Faunus, most huntsmen didn't bother besides when they did. They always charged too much for their services.

Before we officially left, we made sure to lure the Grimm to the bandit camp by using the dead bodies of their dead comrades, and it lead to the destruction of the bandit camp. Also managed to secure a contract, which we would provide security for a merchant heading towards another village and, since it was on the path towards Vale, we accepted it.

So after stocking up on water, food and dust, we left the town with the merchant and two other squads that were with the merchant.

Third Person POV:

A few hours later, we can see three groups moving on a path between trees, The first group consisting of Jaune and his team. Jaune is wearing a white t-shirt, a green jacket with black jeans and having a tribal tattoo on his left arm and a grim reaper with a sniper rifle tattoo on his upper right arm. The others, wearing t-shirts with jeans or jackets. Most had their helmets on but, some had them hooked up to their pants since if a fight would happen, they could put them on quickly.

The second groups were the merchant and one of the security squads walking on the side of the wagon. Then the last squad were in the back guarding the rear of the wagon.

"This is alpha 3 spotted something moving behind us," The third squad reported on the radio and, everyone readied themselves for a fight.

"Affirmative, don't fire unless fired upon alpha 3," Jaune said on the radio while putting his helmet on.

"Understood, seems like it might be grimm," The third squad said and managed to spot two grimm stalking them not far behind. "Alpha 1 and alpha 2, we got confirmation that it's grimm following us," They reported and readied themselves for the fight.

"Understood, alpha 2, make sure to get the merchant to a safe distance while we take care of the grimm," Jaune ordered, and the second group began moving past Jaune and his team while they moved up to the third group.

"Alright, let's do this and remember, make your shots count," Jaune said and quickly aimed towards the beowulf rushing towards them and pulled the trigger and fired. The others began to fire upon the rushing grimm, and soon they managed to fend them off.

"This is too little for a hunting pack," One of the soldiers said as the corpses of grimm began disappearing.

"Might be a scouting party while the rest of the force then the rest is not far behind," Another soldier said, and the rest quickly got back to the merchant and told him they had to hurry if they wanna live.

(The soldiers will be the new name for nameless security guards who is guarding the merchant)

They quickly hurried towards their destination while constantly looking out for the grimm. As night fell, they had no choice but to seek shelter, and they found a cave and quickly set up camp. Then as the rest of the group were asleep, two soldiers were up guarding the camp.

"Hey, just going to go and take a leak," One of the soldiers said and began moving inwards to the forest.

"Just hurry up," The second one said while sitting in front of the cave watching. But as time went on, the first soldier never came back. He tried to shout his name but got no response. Fearing the worst, the second soldier began waking everyone up, and they quickly put on their gear and moved into the forest to find the lost soldier.

"This is alpha 1, found him or what is left of him," Rick said on the radio, and the rest came and found only the soldier's legs left and a hand.

"Fuck," The merchant said and began puking on a nearby tree.

"We need to move now this place isn't safe," Jaune said to the merchant, who quickly nodded. They immediately got back to their camp and packed before moving towards the village while looking for the killers. After walking for a bit, the grimm finally attacked and managing to wound the merchant in the leg but, they managed to fend them off. But two soldiers were also killed.

Rick managed to path up the merchant's wound but, they had to rush toward the village if they want him to survive. With only two days left to the village, they hurried as fast as they could. After two days of running, they finally managed to get the merchant to a doctor and the goods to a safe space. Jaune and his team rented a room in the Inn and rested while cleaning their gear and weapons, then waited until the merchant would get better.

Jaune POV:

A few days later, a knock came on our door, and I opened it to see the merchant with a walking cane. We let him into our room, where he sat down on one of the beds.

"Thank you for getting me here so fast, and for saving my life and my goods I will double your payment," He said and handed us thirty thousand lien. We thanked him, and we talked a bit more before he left our room.

After our talk with the merchant, we stayed in the town for a few more days to get more dust rounds and supplies for our trip towards the next town. Then we got on the road again towards a larger village that has a bullhead service that we can use to make our trip to vale easier and faster.

We walked alone but, from time to time, we managed to meet some people. But the grimm was getting more annoying since they would often attack our camp, often during the dark and barely managed to wound Aaron. Yet six days later, we finally managed to get to the village and pay for a bullhead towards Vale.

"Fucking hell, finally we will be able to see the city," Nick said as he was excited to see the city and everything about it and, it was the same with the other guys as they talked and chatted about it.

"You will probably enjoy it," I said while closing my eyes to take a nap.
