Part Two: What now?

Location: Village, Remnant

Time: 8:20 AM

Jaune POV:

I slowly opened my eyes and tried to sit up but, I was brought back down again by the women holding me down sleeping, against my chest. These two girls were happy to show their appreciation for saving their town in another way.

The feast was great. We even managed to become be part of a long tradition involving burning the bodies of lost loved ones. It was a sad sight to see so many dead bodies burned and hundreds of people crying.

Not only that. It seemed like my team were reverse to our late teens being 17, 18 and 19 again. We didn't know how this happened but, we guessed it was the white light since it made the most sense. We also didn't know what to do next. So last night before the began feast I, told them we would have a meeting the next day.

To decide what our next plan of action was. Not only that it, seemed like we ended up two weeks or four away from the kingdom of Vale. As I was considering, I felt the two women beginning to wake up.

"Morning handsome," one of the girls said while stroking my chest.

"You were great last night, so we are curious if you are up for another round," the other one said right next to my ear. I responded by kissing her and getting on top of her.

"Of course, I'll make sure you won't be able to walk," I responded and, they softly giggled back.

After that and getting a shower with them I, walked towards a small house that we had made into a temporary safe house while helping to rebuild the destroyed homes. As I walked in, the guys were cleaning equipment, checking rounds or just trying to learn more about the Remnant. Luckily the governor of the town managed to unlock our auras even if there was first some trouble of unlocking them at first.

"Gather up, need to figure out our next move," I said and, they put away everything and walked up to a large table.

"So whatever is the next move?" Rick questioned as he sat down on a chair.

"First, we need to secure funds, second we need to find a way to change our weapons to be able to fire dust rounds and at the same time our own. Since we don't have a lot of ammunition left and, while they can penetrate aura if we don't use it carefully, we will run out," I told them while pulling out a map. "Third is that we take care of the bandit problem here so we can safely get out of here it's also to make sure they won't harass any more towns,"

"So how do we get rid of them? since there must be more than one group," Aaron asked curiously.

"There is only one major group and, they are the ones who attacked this town. They are called the Fenrir tribe and, they wiped out any other bandit tribe in this area. We don't know where they are yet, since I got a hold of a scouting patrol that is heading this way so, let's use one of them to figure out where their main operating base is," I said as I took out a picture of an old warehouse within the town. "After grabbing two or more alive, we can use this old warehouse to get the necessary information out of them without getting disturbed,"

"You will torture them? Is that even legal?" Christian asked hesitantly about this.

"Well, asking them politely won't work and, well certainly illegal none will find out and, if you don't wanna be part of It, you don't have to," I told him and, he became quiet.

"Then what about funds?" Aaron asked curiously how we would be able to get funds.

"For now, we have to become mercenaries for a while, but yes, we got a bit from the governor but, it won't be enough," I told them. They looked at each other, not knowing how to feel about becoming mercenaries.
