Today had already proven to be quite a day, especially with Rose relentlessly poking into the matter of me and Jun. She even sent me to his room to call him, and I couldn't help but notice that every time he called my name or got closer to me, I felt a flutter of butterflies in my stomach. Why on earth did my first crush have to be him?

Anyway, the rapper Young Blood, whose real name is Damien Sky (I don't think I ever mentioned that before), had his arm casually draped around my shoulders. I was sure he was just playing around, but I could feel Li Jun's eyes on us, so I subtly removed Damien's arm.

"Dami, let's start the recording quickly," I said.

"Sure thing, Elaine," he replied.

I slipped on my headphones, and as the remix beat filled my ears, I started rapping like it was second nature to me.

Rapping was genuinely my thing, and I could see Rose and Li Jun watching in amazement at how skilled I was. Not to brag, but...

"Now I like dollars, I like diamonds, I like stunting, I like shining...

"Oh, he's so handsome, what's his name? (I like it like that)"

Phew, I was done.

"Absolutely perfect, Elaine," Emily commented.

"I never knew you could rap like that," Rose praised me.

"Thanks, I need a break," I said. Emily nodded as she escorted Bad Bunny, thanking him for the collaboration, and Rose was deep in conversation with my personal makeup artist, Chantelle.

I received a text from Li Jun.

Unknown: Hi, it's Jun. Meet me outside. Kinda bored and need company.

Me: Sure

How did he get my number? Why did he ask me? I needed answers, so I decided to meet him. I asked Emily if I had anything scheduled, and luckily, I was free for the whole day. I left the recording studio and noticed a brand new red car, my favorite color. Inside was Li Jun—I had no idea he owned a car.

"So, you came," he said.

"Yeah, you asked me to," I replied.

"So, señorita, want to take this baby for a ride?" he asked.

"Sure, I mean, if you insist. Wait, do you have a license?" I asked.

"Yeah, hop in," he assured.

I got into the car, and we decided to explore the area. We had a few conversations, and everything went quiet until I felt Li Jun's hand in mine. My face turned slightly pink.

"I think we have a lot to discuss," I said, trying to break the awkward silence.

"Yeah, I guess you can start by telling me that you're falling for me. Am I that irresistible?" he said, smirking.

"I guess I am not. Sorry," I replied, wondering if he could read minds.

"So, about yesterday, what happened to your mom?" I asked.

"I figured you would ask sooner or later. She and my dad divorced, just like in those Korean movies. They had a contract marriage, and they decided to end it when Rose was 5, and I was just 11—on my birthday, no less. It was all my father's fault, always working and never having time for me or Rose. To make it worse, I'm forbidden to ever see her again. It's Jungkook's fault; that's why I offended you. He knew I was secretly seeing my mother and used it against me. I'm really sorry, Elsine," Li Jun confessed.

Of course, I felt sorry for him. While my family was far from perfect, his was clearly broken, and I could see the pain in his eyes.

"And Jungkook is dating Lila. I don't love her, and she loves Jungkook. My father wants me to marry her or choose a suitor with a good name and high class," he continued.

"Jun, don't worry. Everything is going to be alright," I comforted him.

I gave him a kiss on the cheek, and in response, he grabbed my waist and kissed me. I couldn't help but wonder why I kissed him back. After all that drama, we drove to the studio to pick up Rose, with me holding Li Jun's hand and comforting him.
