Prologue: Project Proposal

Two men wearing suits were looking at each other. Those two were no ordinary men. It could be said that their existence could be considered as gods. After all, they were creators of worlds.

"What do you think about my proposal?" the first man asked.

"Connecting our worlds... While it's true that our worlds are the most compatible ones, why my world?"

"It's simply because our worlds are compatible. Our physics and natural laws aren't that different. We could simply iron out the conflicts as they pop up. As for my goal, I want to create history."

"Create history?"

"In our long history, all of the worlds were separate. There are few people who accidentally transfer to other worlds and it's a real problem. So instead of trying to find a way to keep all the worlds isolated, why not make traveling between them possible?"

"So instead of saying it as a bug, we'll make it into a feature?"

"That's one way of saying it although it makes us sound like a crappy game company. But if we could make our worlds connected, it would definitely be historic."

"Do the others know of your plan?"

"Not yet. I'm going to showcase it in our next meeting if you would agree with it. Are you in?"

"Alright then. Things are getting boring. Do you think the others would approve of our plan?"

"I think so... One thing I know about them is that they love interesting things. Connecting our worlds should pique their interest."

"But even if our worlds are compatible, there are still some inconsistencies. It's been a long time since I last checked my world's inner workings. How can we check for them?"

"It's simple. We give that job to the Moderators. You got one in your world, right?"

"Ah yes. My world is already old enough to have a Moderator in.... But I think it would be beyond his duties to handle two worlds at once. And he's a fresh graduate too."

"Then it's even easier to boss him around. You're the Administrator of your world so even that Moderator has to follow you. Besides, if this project of ours gets approved, then we have the authority to tell him what to do."

"Got it... So what do you want to call this project? We need to draft up a proposal."

The man thought for a while and then smiled.

"How about Alternative? Since we're giving the residents of our world an alternative world to live in."

"Sounds good. Then let's go ahead and draft up a proposal. We need all the time we could have until the next meeting."

The two men shook their hands to signify that their deal was successful. It would be a historic moment to have two worlds becoming connected... Too historic that a certain Moderator's life was sent to chaos.
