Elsa

NO MIST

Elsa was alone..again

She was supposed to rule the kingdom, she was supposed to be a beacon for her people. One of hope, strength and humility and yet the minute things got hard. She freaked out and ran away because that was what she had always done

Elsa was alone...again

The blonde-haired princess (Well Queen now she supposed) had always been alone, locked away in her room since she was a child with no one but the occasional staff of her parent's castle to keep her company, she was absolutely terrified of the power coursing through her veins, ever since she accidentally struck Anna's head with her powers (accident) to stop her from falling and hurting herself, but it only ended up making things worse and to keep herself and Anna save she had been locked away from anything and everything

Elsa was alone...again

One day. All she had asked for was one day where nothing would go wrong for her coronation  but of course, she freaked out when Anna had pulled her glove off, it wasn't her fault of course Anna didn't know but when the glove came off Elsa could feel her blood run cold and with fear rising in her chest before she could stop it a wall of jagged ice fell from her fingertips

 Elsa was alone...again

She saw the scared and terrified look in the eyes of her subjects when she froze the fountain and she knew she had to get away and so she did what she always did and ran fleeing to the mountains, where no one could get to her and Elsa was safe as well as everyone else she may have hurt or would've hurt

So yes Elsa was alone, but at least she was alone and free

Up here it was peaceful, she didn't have to be scared of the voices in her head telling her that she would hurt everyone she loved and Elsa didn't have to be scared of her powers anymore, she was so tired of being that scared little girl that cowered in the corner of her room with her head in her hands, wishing she was someone else as she could hear her sister's voice trying to break through to her

She loved her sister, Elsa would do anything for her. She just couldn't do this

But Anna would be a good Queen

She was kind and fair, everything a Queen should be, something that Elsa could never be, something interrupted her thoughts however and Elsa furrowed her eyebrows in confusion: Who the hell would be up a mountain, in the middle of nowhere during a snowstorm?

What happened next confused Elsa to no end, she heard the squeaking and creaking of metal and hushed voices, it took her a few minutes to place the voice but when she realised that it was Anna panic raised in her chest and she paced back and forth, back and forth back and forth over and over again until she was slightly dizzy and the door opened and in walked Anna with a small Latino boy trailing in after her, his features shifting from awe to terror

"Anna, what are you doing here?" Elsa sighed "And who's this?"

"I'm here to bring you back" Anna grinned brightly as if it was that simple as if she could just be welcomed back with open arms into the arms of her people and as if she could just forget the spark of terror that she saw in their eyes when she lost control of her powers and Anna just thought everyone would be so easy to forgive her? But before she could voice any of her concerns Anna rambled on "And this is Leo, he's cool he's been teaching me Spanish and he's here to get us back to Arendelle so you can fi--"

"I don't need help. I'm fine" Elsa snapped, finally cutting off her sister's ramblings. How was it that Anna didn't see that she was happy where she was, she could finally live her life freely without worrying about being the perfect little princess who never took a step out of line and always dutifully did what was expected of her? For most of her life, she was sheltered from the world, locked in her room, not only scared of her powers but of herself and now? Now she was free

"I've got a feeling you don't know"

"What do I not know?"

"Arendelle's in deep, deep snow"

The anxiety within her exploded and before she knew what was happening snow flurries flew around her making her panic and the more she panicked the bigger the flurry storm became bigger and bigger until it was out of control

Leo stepped forward muttering something along the lines of "Yeah you're definately a demigod"

"I'm a demiwhat?" Elsa exclaimed, the confusing word only making her panic more

Leo's eyes snap up to meet hers and his eyes widen as he realises his mistake of saying that aloud before he gains control again with a shake of his head "It doesn't matter -- I'll explain everything later but right now you have to get control of your powers"

"I-I don't know how"

"Yes you do, it's inside of you just like it is inside of me," Leo said and for a moment Elsa could've sworn she saw fire dance deep within his irises but before she had the chance to be completely sure, it was already gone "You just need to not be scared anymore,  I know it's easy said than done especially since you have the look of someone who's lost a lot and just wants the pain to stop, believe me I know that look, I probably invented that look which isn't as ironic as it seems since I like inviting things but you need to take a deep breath and remember the people around you that love you and will help you through this"

Elsa was scared and she knew she shouldn't be trusting the word of a stranger, but there was something comforting about the boy's words as if he been through it before and just wanted to save everyone from the pain he went through it. With a shallow breath, she remembered Anna and reached out and grabbed her hand, they may not have had much but at least they had each other

With that thought, the snow flurries depleted a little and it allowed Elsa to breathe more easily and the more she breathed and remembered Anna, her subjects, Olaf (Whose voice she could hear outside of the door just waiting to be let in) the more the snow melted around her feet and the easier it was to finally feel truly free

After what felt like an eternity, she turned back to the strange boy and offered him a look but all he did was grin back up at her "Now mind telling me who you are and what you are and what you claim I am"

"Elsa he was just trying to help," Anna said, squeezing her hand

"I know" Elsa whispered nodding "Thank you, I couldn't have done that without you"

Leo's smile turned almost wicked "It's alright. I'm glad I could be of service, now as to who you are and who I am well sit back and get ready because I'm about to tell you something that will blow your mind"
