"Sounds good, see you in a few" she said

I hummed before hanging up the phone and walking to the elevator. Once I stepped in, I hit the first floor button and made my way down. When the doors opened, I saw Reneé and Samantha laughing

"Here she is, the woman of the hour" Samantha smile at her

"Uh oh, should I be worried?" I asked

"Maybe a bit" Samantha joked

I rolled my eyes with a smile

"Hi, I'm Y/n and you must be Miss Rapp" I extended my hand out to be formal

"Oh just Reneé is fine" she smiled and shook my hand

I nodded

"If you don't mind following me to the office?" I asked

"Not at all" she nodded

"It was cool to meet you" Reneé told Samantha

"You too!" Samantha replied with a smile

"Thank you Samantha" I smiled and winked at her to which she saluted me

"Stairs of elevator?" I asked Renee

"Oh uh, elevator? I'm shitting myself nervous so I don't know if I could walk up stairs right now" She said in a serious tone

I couldn't help but to laugh as I pressed the elevator call button

"Why are you nervous?" I asked

"Because you, the Y/n Knight, wanted to meet with me" she said

"I'm just a regular person" I laughed

"With a badass record label" she said

"Well thank you, I appreciate that" I replied

We let the elevator take us up to the second floor and then she followed me down the hall to my office

"You can go ahead and sit in one of those chairs" I told her while pointing to one of the two chairs that sat in front of my desk

She nodded and walked to the one on the left side

"I'm a little surprised my manager wasn't asked to come with me" she stated

"I didn't want to get anyone's hopes up" I said honestly while walking to my desk

"Ah" she said with a nod

"So now that we're alone, I just have to say that I love Tummy Hurts! It's one of my favorites" I gushed

A big smile formed on her face

"Thanks babe" she said

"Seriously, its a masterpiece" I added

"Thank you so much, that actually means a lot coming from you" she told me with the same big smile

I nodded with a smile right back

"But I am a little confused as to why I'm here. All David told me was that he got me a meeting with you and I don't even know David that well" she said

"Well I think it's important to be completely transparent with you, especially since I do want sign you to my label" I started

She nodded for me to continue

"David basically told me that your current label is taking advantage of you, or at least trying to" I added

"He said what?" She asked

"Something along those lines. He doesn't think they deserve you" I said

"What makes him think that?" She asked
