"What did he say?"

My face went awkward as I ate the chicken piece. Ugh. "He hasn't said anything! Buong oras na kasama ko siya, wala siyang imik?"

"But you still go on?"

"I know him, Hayme. Ilang taon din kaming magkasama, he always have that kind of trait. To act like he's not paying attention but you'll be confounded in the end because he summarized every word you made up!"

He joined me as I laugh a little bit more. With both of his elbow on top of his thigh, I wish he could stay like that forever. Hayme looks hot in everything he does.

"Anong sinabi mo before you left?" he's done eating.

The sun is ready to set in west. The outside of their house starting to be filled with people, kids and adults, doing what they are accustomed to do before the darkness reign on them again.

"That even if he still dontn't believe my words were true, that I will never ever brought him up again, it's fine. I should always never prove myself to someone unless I'm confident I'm just lying around."

"Now, I'm not lying we're finally done. I'm firmly over him." a smile crept on my lips.

Sinubukan kong ubusin 'yung fishball when he reached for my hair and mess it up. "I believe in you."

My cheeks turned flaring red and he's chuckling while walking near the bin. Hindi pa siya nagpapalit ng suot niya, he's still in his work uniform. Kahit naman ako, but his looks so uncomfortable.

"Ha?"

"Ha?" Hayme shot back. "Bakit?"

"Ano sabi mo?"

"Hindi ko na uulitin." asar nito. "Are you full?"

Tumango ako at binigay sa kaniya iyon. Akala ko he'll put it in the bin too pero inubos niya 'yung natira saka tinapon. He didn't even flinch when he ate the bitten fishball. This guy...

"Magpalit ka kaya muna?"

Hayme looks down, "Why?"

"Ang init."

"Nope. I'm fine." pinagpag lang ang sleeves. "You've been courageous today, Reed. I can't be anymore proud."

Sasagot na sana ako but he pore his eyes above me, only for I to know na may tao na pala na nakatayo sa harapan ko. "Bakit kayo nasa labas?"

That authoritative voice. It sounds like Hayme! Only crisper and... old. "Mano po."

Tama lang ako ng hula. Tumayo ako after Hayme gestured to his dad. "Good a-afternoon po..."

Instead of helping me, tinawanan lang ako! "Sabi ko na nga, ikaw iyan hijo, e."

Holding my warm ear, I nod. "Kumusta po?"

Tito held something up in the air. "Hapunan! Wala na ako halos naabutan sa talipapa."

"Akala ko po ba may tira pa si nanay?" Hayme gestured behind us. "Kasya na po ata sa atin 'yun."

Gone with teasing me, Ives Hayme looks like a soldier reporting to his strict General. I want to capture it but it'd be pesky to do it in front of Tito.

"Alam ko. Pero dumating na ang card ng kapatid mo, pasado lahat. Paborito niya 'to."

Both of our eyes twinkled. "Nino po? Ni Inton?"

"Oo. Kaya kung maari, mauna na ako sa loob. Hayme, kung wala kang gagawin, sumunod ka sa loob. Hindi pa natanggalan ng hasang ito."

I almost bowed at him when he bid his goodbye. Hayme reached for his neck and shakes his head, "Nakalimutan ko nga."
