Chapter 14

The days we have in Caspen Atlantis was never a horrendous thing happened on our summer getaway.

Thanks to Art's chill and kind behaviour throughout the days spent.

I also didn't know that we both needed this trip, for us to know each other more. Wala akong masyadong ginawa kundi samahan at tawanan si Art sa lahat ng gusto niyang gawin, which he basically did in spite of doubts he wouldn't do it.

Because he's Lucien. If he didn't want this, he really dont. But look what happened!

Moon is glistening so hard the lights from the storm became futile to entertain the guests. Kanina ko pa tinititigan iyon habang hinihintay ang bumili lang na si Art.

"Hindi ka ba nababasa diyan?"

Art immediately stood beside me. We both agreed to stay up here, late at night, on our very last day here in Caspen Atlantis. Kung bakit, I am unsure.

He handed me the cold beer and shook my head after.

"The sea's calm every night."

Sumunod naman siya pero bumalik din sa pagkakatayo. May kinuha siya uli at pagbalik niya ay may dala siyang blue na scarf.

"Stand up."

Nilatag naman niya iyon at pinauna ako na maupo bago siya. Pinagpag ko muna ang short habang inayos niya iyon. Probably because sitting on sand is a bit uncomfortable?

"Saan mo naman 'to nakuha?" sabay tawa.

He motioned his behind and chug the beer. "They are giving away some. Might as well use it.

May nakita akong free scarf na booth sa tapat ng isanhg Taco shop. Humalakhak na lang ako saka tumitig sa dagat.

We both engulfed with silence after that. I don't think he wanted to have a talk, nabanggit niya kanina na napagod siya mula sa snorkeling na ginawa namin bago magpaalam ang araw.

I feel lethargic to, I think I was tired wailing instead of roaming underwater. Pinilit lang kasi niya ako sumama kahit na sinabi ko sa kaniya na I'm scared being out of where humans breathe.

Overall, after all the dramas I created on the both, paid off. I've been seeing snorkeling videos on YouTube and Facebook before, they are all dazzling on screen but seeing them in person?

Damn. God took an incredible job.

"What do you want us to do here, then?" pagbasag niya sa katahimikan.

Kalahati na niya ang bote habang sa akin ay dalawang inom pa lang. The coldness somehow abstain me from drinking continuously, I don't know why.

"Anything." ngiti ko. "Tapos naman na tayo sa mga plano mo sa atin dito. Perhaps we can talk all about what you'd let me experienced here?"

A small grin escaped him. "You happy I bring you here?"

"Oo naman!"

"Talaga?"

I made a face after, "Alam mo naman na siguro 'yun." sabay irap ko. "No joke. Dalawang beses pa lang kami nagbeach vacation ng family ko. Everything is from La Union."

"Oh? We went there too, before."

"Nakakasawa rin. Albeit it is a good vacation spot. And. I didn't know that there's a place like this that can top that, without I even knowing it."

"La Union is great, huh?"

"I know. But being there two times in a row? I feel like I just came back to the cell I've been trying to escape since then."
