Nothing new. We fought. He's forcing me to apologize for I didn't do. He begged me to stay and I'll answer him the same damn thing.

I have no idea if I'm gonna get used to this but I wish I don't have to anymore.

"Eoghan! Sa ilang araw mo rito, alam namin na sa jeep ka lang sumasakay!"

Hindi sana ako sasama sa lunch because of the papers need to be encoded na kailangan ipasa rin mamaya but they said the deadline will be pushed up till tomorrow so I joined them in.

I thought we're going out in the building.

"Yeah? Why?" I ask.

Some of them gave me a beleaguered look while Juno just beamed harder. What are they up to?

"Kaya nga! Pero kahapon!" she giggled. "Akala mo hindi ka namin makikita?"

I just creased my forehead. I don't get... it.

"Gaga ka, ideretso mo na kasi. He doesn't have any idea... or he's just pretending he doesn't.." Roni winked.

"Oh, wala talaga akong alam. Bakit nga?"

The conversation went into halt to order some foods. Paghanap sa table, akala ko binitawan na nila iyon but they are all giving me another set of weird glances.

Did I typed some papers wrong earlier?

"You're wealthy, aren't you?" asked Juno.

"Kaya nga! Ang gara ng kotseng sumundo sa'yo kahapon! And you seemed bothered seeing it there! Ayaw mo ipaalam sa amin na mayaman ka pala?"

Thank God I'm not yet even starting to partake when they finally spewed it out. My colleague handed me a glass of water and wait for me to calm down but still chuckling.

What the hell? Anong mayaman at kotse.... oh.

Art completely slipped out of my mind after what happened.

"Hindi naman kami galit pero... minsan lang na may mayaman kaming katrabaho!" humalakhak siya. "That car surely could pay all of my expenses, for my whole life!"

"Mukha ngang bagong model iyon ng kotse, e. What brand is that, Eoghan? Magkano bili ninyo? Puwede installment?"

"We're not judging you but... from your clothes alone, akala namin kagaya ka namin! And to think you're here? Sa gara ng kotse ninyo, wala kayong sariling business?" dagdag ng isa.

"Tama! Imposib—"

"Imposible lahat ng sinasabi ninyo kasi hindi naman talaga." ngumisi ako at nagsimula na kumain.

"Ay," they all said in unison. Disappointment evident to their tone.

It's my turn to guffaw at them and twist my fork, "Did you guys really think I'm prosperous and just hiding it?"

"Graduate ka kaya ng Caxlese! That's a private academy here!"

"Tsamba lang sa entrance exam." humalakhak akong muli. "Besides, my high school grades were enough to let me in, that's why. Pero hindi nga ako mayaman, ano ba kayo."

"But... sino 'yung sumundo sa'yo?" the other one asked. "From your face alone yesterday, parang hindi mo inaasahan na makita 'yun. Kaya we suppose you're trying to keep it us how your life really is.."

My smile fades in front of them. Some saw it and acted like they never saw it. I sighed and just continue eating.

Just like what I said, I don't think they'll be chuffed enough to know that.. I'm not like what our other men colleagues are. Kaya huwag na munang aminin.
