It's a test to see if people like this story.

Also USSR x UK, and France has just recently divorced UK. I'm sorry but I needed to write angst because something has happened between me and my gf (basically, she came out as polyamorus) and I'm still trying to decide on how and if I should break up with her. So yeah. For those of you who like angst, read on!

UPDATE: I broke up with her. And now I'm very relieved. UvU

The countries in this are basically mashups with their national animal. The UK doesn't have a national animal, so I gave them the same national animal as England.

WARNINGS: abuse, bad Google translate.

--UK's POV--

I held my arms up to protect my face as she swung down towards me with a rolling pin, a cry of frustration leaving her lips.

"Putain de stupide!! How could I not cheat on you! You never buy me everything I want, and you don't want me to have more husbands!! You are most awful husband and I am leaving!!" She bashed the rolling pin against me  one last time before storming out. Thankfully the kids were grown up, but still.

I was a trembling mess, and I pulled myself to a standing position, feeling my lion tail curl around me in an attempt to comfort me. My arms were numb with pins and needles from how many times she had whacked that rolling pin against me.

Was I really a bad husband for not letting her have other husband whilst she was married to me? I really did think so, and I cursed myself out as I gripped my desk as I pulled myself up. Ruling a kingdom was hard enough, but now I was going to have to do it whilst grieving that my wife left me. Over the next few weeks, I had letters come in from all over various kingdoms: even the German and Polish kingdoms responded. But I didn't expect someone to walk through my doorway, least of all Soviet himself.

I bowed to him when he walked through my door, during a Wednesday afternoon whilst I was in the middle of paperwork. I didn't know why, but I barely recognised him when he walked through the door. He had only communicated with me through letters, and the only reason I had recognised him was his eyepatch and his clothing.

"Привет, Британия." He bowed back before reaching out to shake my hand. I motioned for the guards to leave and once they did, I shook his hand.

"Hello, Soviet." I motioned for him to sit down but I was surprised as I was pulled into a hug. By the way he wrote his letters I could have never guessed that he was a huggable person, but being hugged against his chest was warm and inviting, so I wrapped my arms back and started to tremble.

"It okay...I thought I need come see...you not going well, no?" Through my quiet sniffles, I smiled at his broken english. That was familiar, too.

"Y...Yeah...I...I'm...behind on a few things, I guess..."

"More than few..." He motioned at my stacks of paper and I nodded before sniffling more.

"Yeah...I...I've sat there for so long, b-b-but I just can't seem to get through them..." He nodded and then held my shoulder.

Okay, maybe he was more than just a stranger. Truth be told, we used to date secretly when the British and Russian kingdoms were close. But then I was forced to marry France, and he was forced to marry Afghanastan, and we hadn't talked in ages. Except in these recent times. I felt my tail slip into his hands and I looked up at him, feeling my face heat up. On the contruary, he wasn't embarrassed, but I could see a small smirk grow on his face.

"So, we have dinnerrr laterrr?"

Okay sorry it was short but yeah I needed to let out some SoviBrit.

See ya in the next one! And be sure to request if you wanna UvU
