Two years ago, Taylor Harkey and Luke Hemmings's relationship crumbled. Taylor was offered a job, making her move from Los Angeles to Orlando. They simply stopped talking. Then Taylor found out she was pregnant.... but she never told Luke. Two years...
"When are we leaving Mommy?" Carter whined as he followed me around the house as I cleaned. Luke had to run to the studio to do vocals this morning,
"After lunch" I told Carter for the hundredth time. It's Halloween and his school is doing a trick or treating in the halls then tonight Luke and I are taking him trick or treating around the neighborhood.
"Bubby, why don't you take Petunia in the backyard to potty and play" I sighed. He huffed a little but nodded and ran off, calling Petunia to follow him.
As soon as he was outside, I grabbed my phone and texted Luke:

[ when are you coming home? ]
Lu🥰: [ I'm on my way now. Why? You okay? ]
[ Carter keeps asking me when we're leaving and I'm trying to get stuff done and I have a headache ]
Lu🥰: [ I'll be home soon baby ]

I hate saying that about my son but I just need a break. He has been nonstop since he woke up.

I finished cleaning the house as Luke came home. He walked over and kissed my lips before holding me to him,
"Where's lil man?" he asked, his lips placed on my head,
"Backyard"
He nodded and we both moved to the back deck. I took a seat and Luke headed down to the yard where Carter was.
Petunia trotted up and plopped down by my feet.
"Play too hard Piggy" I laughed, leaning down and petting her. She huffed and huffed then nudged my hand off.

We left the house and headed to Carter's school. He was so excited and was talking up a storm the whole time. He was all dressed as Captain America and was excited to see Tucker, who was going to be Thor, and his other friend, Austin, who was going to be Iron Man.
As we parked at the school, Carter was itching to get out considering he saw Tucker walking in.
Luke held my hand as we got him out and followed him inside,
"Hi!" Tucker yelled and hugged Carter. Seconds later Austin came in and joined their hug,
"Let's take your pictures boys" Austin's mom spoke. I quickly got my phone out and took a picture before posting it,

"Okay kids! You all ready to trick or treat?" Carter's teacher came out and gathered them all then took them around the halls while us parents waited.
As we waited, I started not feeling great. I stepped in front of Luke and leaned back against him,
"Austin's my second and I wasn't sick at all with him then all of a sudden I was," she told me,
"Yeah I wasn't sick but now I have migraines all the time" I sighed,
"I did too. A cold rag and the back of your neck then one on your forehead. That's what I did and it seemed to help"
"Thank you" I smiled as the kids came back around.

{ Luke }
I could tell Taylor felt like shit today. Baby girl is making her sick now. She wasn't but now she is.
"Are you sure you want to take him by yourself?" She asked me for the hundredth time. I told her to stay home while I took Carter trick or treating,
"Yes baby. You don't feel good. Go to bed early. I'll leave a bucket of candy outside the gate for kids"
She nodded and motioned Carter over,
"Have fun baby and listen to Dad"
"I will Mommy" he told her then kissed her cheek. She smiled and kissed his head,
"We'll be back soon" I pecked her lips then took Carter's hand.
We started walking down the street and Carter would run up to houses. I stood on the sidewalk and watched. Every time he'd run back to me with the biggest smile on his face,
"I can't wait to do this with sissy," he told me as he grabbed my hand and pulled me to the next house,
"Yeah? Are you gonna teach her how to do it?" I asked.
"Yeah. I'm gonna hold her hand and tell her to say 'trick or treat'"
I smiled. Carter's going to be a super great big brother.

When we got home, Taylor was sound asleep,
"Hey bub, go on up to your room. I'm going to take Mommy to bed then I'll come help you get ready"
Carter nodded and called for Petunia. They Hoth trotted up the stairs. I picked Taylor up and carried her to our room and laid her in our bed, causing her to stir,
"It s'okay babe. Go back to sleep"
She nodded and curled up with her pregnancy pillow. I hate that thing because it take up so much space, but it helps her a lot,
"I'm going to get Carter to bed then I'll be back"
She hummed and I walked down the hall to Carter's room. He was already undressed and trying to get dressed. He got his pj pants on but was struggling a bit with his shirt.
"Okay. Into bed" I smiled as he climbed under his covers, Petunia climbing up and laying at the end,
"All cozy?" I asked as I tucked him in,
"Yup! And I have blankie" he smiled then let out a yawn,
"Alright little man, goodnight. I love you"
"Love you Daddy"
I turned on his nightlight then left his room, cracking the door behind me. I crept back to mine and Taylor's room, quickly changing and getting in bed with her. She was already asleep. I kissed her head then pulled the covers up and followed my eyes, letting sleep take over my body as well.
