"Where is he?" A voice boomed at the edge of an empty cell.
"Sire he escaped," A middle aged man spoke. He was just a Jorendir. He was bound to his master. His master was holy. His master was everything.
"And you let him escape?" His master was also enraged.
"No my lord, we did not-"
"Do you know what all he witnessed? Do you know how much my work is at stake? Do you know what all I did to get to this stage? Do you know what all I sacrificed?"
"Sire I-"
"Take him away." His master commanded.
With that, the jorendir was dragged away seemingly oblivious to the man's pleading. His master was also unforgiving when one slips.
"Who let him leave?" The master growled.
"My lord we dont know." The others spoke. They were shaken. They knew the master would not let them leave alive if he wasn't found.
"I do." A voice croaked.
The master's head snapped towards the woman who spoke.
"And?"
"There was only one at the headquarters that day."
"One?" The master's eyes widened with rage. "You all abandoned the headquarters?"
No one spoke.
"Who was it?" The master spoke.
"Damon Stone." The woman said. "He was the only one on duty that day."
