Dahlia's POV

"Ok, Serena, one more shot," the photographer called out as she poses in front of the camera.

"Perfect!" He exclaimed while snapping continuous photos of her.

Honestly, all the flashing lights is a recipe for migraine, so I don't know how Serena and other models do it.

"Ok, that's great. You can change now for the next setup," the photographer named Dino said.

Marco assisted Serena to the dressing room to change in her next outfit while I checked on the photos.

Serena is a natural. All of her photos can be inserted in the magazine if it were up to me. I gave the photographer my approval before he ordered one of the staff to get him a cup of coffee.

Serena came back wearing the next outfit as she walks towards me.

"Hi, Dahlia," she greeted.

"Hello. You look and are doing great," I complimented her.

She smiled, "Thank you, but is it alright to ask for a favor?"

"Yeah, sure. Is there something wrong?" I tilted my head to the side.

"No. Not really, but maybe, can I use your phone? I am expecting an important call today, then I realized that I left my phone at home, so I'm just going to call my brother if he can bring it over," she said with a little hesitation.

I chuckled and handed her my phone, "I thought it was something serious. Here, go ahead and call your brother. I'll call for a break."

She squealed then took my phone, "You're the kindest and most beautiful woman I have ever met. Like seriously, your face is just so fresh, and, ugh, do you look like that when you wake up?"

I let out a quiet laugh as she typed the contact on my phone, "No, I don't, trust me. My skin resembles the Sahara with how dry is it."

"Well, you do look gorgeous," she said, lifting the phone to her ear.

"Hello, yes. It's Serena," she answered and decided to give her privacy and announced a 20-minute break for everyone.

Vincent, who works for the layout team handed me the digital layouts of the articles.

A minute later, Serena handed back my phone and said her brother is coming. She thanked me again before I resume my work on checking the articles again.

For 10 minutes, I started reading the articles and marked the things to be corrected and adjusted.

"Miss Hart," Lisa said. I hummed in acknowledgment.

"Miss Laurent has sent a message to Miss Wintour, and she wants you to check it," she said, handing me over the small Ipad.

I furrowed my brows as I gave the articles back to Vincent. "Make sure to finish all the corrections by tomorrow morning. Then, pass it to me no later than 10 am for another round of checking," I said sternly.

"Yes, Ma'am," Vincent took it back and made his way out of the studio.

"Ok, let's see what is this all about," I told more to myself as I began to read the email.

Greetings, Ms. Wintour!

I want to apologize for canceling the shoot. My schedule has been hectic since I was labeled to be one of the highest-paid models in the world. So, it must sadden you do not have me on this month's issue. But I guarantee you that I'm now perfectly fine to do the next one.
