He Came

Chapter 3

    “Mina.”

Their voice seemed to be near yet far away. Just the thoughts about their death brought me another round of new fresh tears. After the attack of rogues, the last howl that dad gave managed to alert our pack alpha, Ryu. But, when they came with the pack doctor, it's too late. My parents are dead. The Beta, Hayden carried me, making Alissa and Jason growled in protest even though they knew Hayden is higher rank. But Hayden didn't take notice on them, he knew how they feel, how I feel. At that time, I was asleep and I slept for two days.

After a few days passed, Alpha Ryu talked to me with Jason and Alissa. Of course, that's when I confirmed that Alissa and Jason are both werewolves. They shifted into their human form since they can't obey Alpha Ryu. They told Alpha Ryu the reason why they stayed in their wolves. And that's also when I noticed, I'm not all alone. I still have Jason and Alissa.

“Mina, they're your pets?” Alpha Ryu asked in his deep voice, full of authority. He's a responsible alpha and very kind and considerate. Dad told me how he treats his pack members, making me look up to Alpha Ryu. He may seemed fierce and strong, but he's a softy inside. He still looked young for his age, 30. I shook my head and snuggled closer to Alissa, feeling the emptiness inside of me. Jason laid his head on my lap and I just stroked his fur.

“They are my friends..” I said quietly. Alpha Ryu nodded his head and suddenly someone knocked on the door, interupting what Alpha Ryu is going to say next. I didn't turn my head back to see who, I just continued to lean on Alissa, getting the warmth from her and stroked Jason, remembering all those memories we've spent together with mom and dad, a family. Warm hand caressed my hair softly, making me look up but snapped back down to Jason.

“Luna Kira.” I greeted softly. She just smiled gently and continued stroking my hair and planted a kiss on my head, making me feel relax and calm. She walked next to Alpha Ryu and they pecked before turning to me. Alpha Ryu seemed to have suspisious on Alissa and Jason like I have since I met them. He cleared his throat, stood up and crossed his arms.

“I demanded you both, Alissa and Jason to shift back to human form now.” He said calmly but full of authority in his voice. Suddenly Alissa jumped and her body shook, same goes for Jason. I just sat there quietly, already knew that they are werewolves but I never did confront them once. I knew they have their own reason for staying wolf for some many years. Warm arms engulfed me and I couldn't help but lead closer to those arms. The warmth those arms gave out are comforting. I looked up and my breath caught in my throat.

Jason looked handsome and pretty in his human form. His looks gave out the gentle look but yet, intimidating. His silver eyes that used to capture my heart when he's in his wolf form, now totally captived my heart. I can never get bored by staring into his eyes. His touch on my skins seemed to send shivers down my spine and I love the feeling his touch is giving me. What is this? His red hair covered half of his right eyes and I slowly tucked it behind his ears and gave him a small smile. His eyelashes are long and his nose, his jaw are all perfect. I blinked my eyes a few times and looked away, still in Jason's arms and turned to look at Alissa.

Alissa looked beautiful. Her black hair is wavy and reached her butt and her blue eyes sparkled in sadness. I... I don't know. She looked perfect like Jason. She smiled and gave me a hug. Her scent, lavender engulfed me like a perfume.

“We're so sorry for hiding this from you Mina.” She said. Even her voice is light and slightly high. The three of us turned to Alpha Ryu and we bowed in respect. He nodded his head and talked to Alissa then Jason. And on that day, I found out that Alissa is 32 years old, older than Alpha Ryu and Jason is 20. Alissa's and Jason's pack got wiped out by rogue just like my parents and they told everything they need to Alpha Ryu and Luna Kira. Jason would constantly rubbed his thumb on my shoulder, comforting me.

“Tell me Alissa, why did you stayed in your wolf form after staying with Mina?” Alpha Ryu asked, linking his fingers together as he stared at Alissa. Alissa looked at me and looked back at Alpha Ryu.

“I don't know whether she's a werewolf when I first met her. I'm scared at that time. My pack just got wiped out and right after immediately, I got adopted by her parents. She's just eleven when I met her. She doesn't smell like one so I just decided with my wolf to stay wolf until it's the right time. But after meeting Jason and knowing he's a werewolf too, we would wait until midnight and shifted into human for training and stretching.” Her smooth and velvet voice filled in the room. I turned to look at her, she just smiled at me and took my hand in hers, gripping it like she needed strength just like I needed hers and Jason. Alpha Ryu looked at Alissa for a minute, like he wanted to ask something but he closed his mouth, deciding not.

“You Jason?” I turned to look up at Jason. Before answering, he looked down, staring deep into my eyes. I stared deep into his, getting drowned into his silver eyes.

“I lost my parents, just like Mina. Like Alissa, our pack was attacked and my family is on the run, trying to get away from the rogues. But then they caught up after a few days and killed them, when they was about to kill me, they ran away, sensing Mina's parents nearby. They saw me, adopted me right away for Mina. At first I hate that thought of being a pet for someone, wanted to shift right there right now to scare her but then she changed my mind. My thoughts are the same with Alissa, I didn't know she's a werewolf or a half werewolf so I don't dare to shift infront of her, telling her that we're werewolves. We need her.” Jason's deep and rough voice rang. I stared at him as he spoke. Observing his eyes, he's telling the truth.

“If I remember correctly, Daniel told her about us when she's 17. Why didn't you tell her you're werewolf after she knew about us?” Alpha Ryu asked, still suspisious.

“I figured that she just learnt about us, so we gave her one year time to understand us. We wanted to give her a surprise on her 18th birthday.” Alissa said, giving me a sad smile. I smiled softly and walked out from Jason's embrace, making me feel cold all of the sudden and hugged Alissa. She craddled me like a fragile piece of glass and lean her chin on top of my head.

“The ceremony will begin tonight. In advance, welcome to Kata.”

My finger went to my neck, where the last gift that my dad gave me is placed. I played with it, not noticing Jason came in with Alissa, holding my dinner. I just lean my head on the chair, feeling tired and worn out. And I exactly knew why, I haven't been eating since my parent's death and all I do is locked myself in the room. Closing my eyes, all my thoughts are I want to sleep. I'm really tired.

“Mina?” Alissa's voice rang behind me. I slowly breath in and turned around, opening my eyes while turning. Her worried eyes met mine and I couldn't help but feel a bit guilty. All this time after my parent's death, all I think about is myself, I ignored Jason and Alissa. Standing up from the chair, I went staright into their embrace. Jason's and Alissa's scent engulfed me immediately and I relaxed in their embrace.

“Don't worry Mina..” Alissa cooed softly, stroking my hair.

“You're not alone anymore okay?” Jason whispered quietly behind my ears, hugging me tightly to him. I nodded and turned my head and leaned on his chest. Jason picked me up and sat me on the bed as Alissa took the tray and placed it infront of me. I sighed and shook my head, meeting Alissa's eyes.

“Alissa, I'm sorry but I really d--” Before I can finished my sentence, she cut me off.

“No. You are going to eat. Even if it's just a bit. Just take some. Please.” She begged. I stared at her, feeling guilty again. I looked at the food they made. They cooked for me but I did not appreciate it at all and I'm wasting their time and energy. Why am I doing this? I sighed again and took the bread and started munching, making a smile appeared on Alissa's face as Jason gave me a kiss on the forehead, making it tingles.
