Author's P.O.V:

Death.

What happens after this journey you're forced to take part in?

It's the second most asked question in the world, right after the meaning of life.

I sincerely don't think the "afterlife" is a huge get together with past family members and ancestors.

I think you just die.

That's it.

Why do we fantasize about these things?

Religion?

Partly to blame, but so is the human psyche.

...

A scientist asked a dying man what he thought happens after he dies.

He gave the same idea that has been pasted down to everyone at one point.

"I'll see my family again"

His brain scans showed that his left prefrontal cortex and Amygdala were lit up right until he died.

He was happy and scared.

Why was he scared?

Was it the fact he was dying, or the unknown of what's to come?

Is the reason we dwell on the idea of the afterlife is because it's human nature to be optimistic?

Who knows honestly.

...

Why are we so scared of death when we view it with a such good outcome?

Some say it's because of the living we'll leave behind.

I don't think life wants you feeling guilty for something you can't control.

Yet we can control it, can't we?

We can decide how long we fight against death.

How long we hold on.

How long we survive.

...

How long can you survive?

...

Are you scared of death?

Or are you scared of the outcome?

If reincarnation is real, are you nervous about living life again?

If the afterlife is real, are you afraid of seeing people for eternity when all you want is to be alone?

What about limbo?

Do you want to spend your eternity watching the world go by?

Or are you scared of your outcome of how you lived your life?

Is heaven real?

Or hell?

...

Is suicide really the best option?

Probably not if reincarnation is real.

Maybe I'm just overthinking the human mind.

But I want to know why people are so scared of death yet want to die at the same time.

I get life is horrible, but who knows what's waiting for you once you're dead.

...

Maybe nothing?

You just disappear, forgotten years later.

Just a tombstone left to signify that you actually lived.

...

This isn't a cry for help, I'm okay.

I'm just wondering about things.
