"Have you not talk about it yet?" I asked while doing letting the chain through the loops of my pants.

"I love that," Emmett complimented the chain.

I smiled, "Thanks, I bought it in Paris last year during fashion week."

"Lewis has been more distant this week. I honestly don't know what to do anymore," Coraline plopped down on my couch.

"Maybe tonight you can talk to him. Didn't you say that he is off work until Sunday?" I said, still trying to loop the chain through. "Fuck, why won't you go through."

Coraline scoffed, "I lost count on how many times he said he'll be off but was still on his laptop."

"Yes!" I shouted, finally clipping the chain on my waist.

Emmett looked at me weirdly, "Congrats?"

"Want me to throw him out of the glass walls of his penthouse?" I said to Coraline placing a hand on my hip.

She chuckled, "He's a famous CEO. The cops will hunt you."

"But seriously, tell me how I can help. I hate seeing you like this."

"I appreciate it, but there's really nothing much you guys can do. It's up to him and me. I'm afraid that if this goes on, I might," she paused.

Emmett and I waited for a few more seconds for her to speak, but she didn't continue.

"You might what, Coraline?" Emmett pressed.

"I might break up with him," she sighed defeatedly.

"Aw," Emmett smothered her with hugs and kisses on the head.

"Ok, stop now, Emmett," Coraline wiggled out of his hold.

I laughed as I sat beside her, "We're here, Coraline. Whatever happens."

"I know. Thanks, guys. I really love you," she said, wrapping both of her arms to us.

"I can't wait to push Lewis out of the window," Emmett huffed.

"Em!" Coraline shouted as we both leave my apartment and rode my jeep to Lewis's place.

It didn't take too long until we arrived at Lewis's penthouse.

Coraline opened the door, "Babe!"

"In the kitchen!" Her boyfriend said.

I trailed behind Emmett and Coraline, picking up my phone that buzzed.

It was a text message from my brothers.

Kiefer: Dad, just received news from the insurance company because of your car...

Eldritch: You are so dead, baby sis.

And right when I was about to reply, a notification of a new message popped out.

Dad: Dahlia Hart, you'll be eating dinner here tomorrow.

Fuck.

My dad never calls me by my name unless I did something wrong. And the period at the end of the message got me shivering.

"Shit," I said out loud as I bumped into Emmett's back.

"Shit, it is," Emmett looked at me over his shoulder with a smirk.

My brows furrowed as I step to the side.

Then Emmett exclaimed, "Doctor McHottie, we meet again!"

My eyes grew wide as I saw Doctor Valentine standing in Lewis's kitchen.
