Elaine Rodrigo was destined for greatness.

She was intelligent, beautiful, and popular. Boys fell at her feet, and girls fawned over her. Everyone would stare at Elaine as she walked by, almost captivated by her presence. With one look, she could have somebody doing anything she wanted. Some would say she was manipulative, some would say she didn't even realize what she was doing, that she was simply unaware and in the dark about just how much power she had. But nevertheless, she held great power over anybody and everybody that she crossed paths with.

And her looks weren't her only strong suit, her brain was, too. She had near perfect grades, held a high GPA, and was Lydia Martin's strongest competitor at Beacon Hills High School. Friendly competition, that is.

She had the brains, she had the looks. She had the personality, she had the popularity. She had the loving family, she had the friends. Elaine Rodrigo had it all.

Though nobody knew the real Elaine Rodrigo. Not Lydia Martin, not Stiles Stilinski, not Laila Campos. Not even Elaine knew who, or what, she really was.

Laila Campos was a curious, overlooked girl.

Laila stood on the sidelines, watching life pass her by. She was a people watcher, a curious girl wanting to know everything about the world before her. She sat at the back of her classes, and was often not seen without her two best friends by her side; Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski. She was never the centre of attention.

She was sarcastic, smart, and stunning. But at Beacon Hills High School, she was outshined by her cousin and her best friend. Unlike the two girls at the top of the social ladder, Laila didn't turn heads when she walked by. And she liked it that way.

Unfortunately for her, she soon finds herself climbing to popularity all because of Scott McCall, and all because her curiosity got the best of her. She feels lost and confused, discovering a whole new world.

But Scott wasn't the only one who would be discovering new abilities. Laila had something swirling inside, inching to the surface more, and more each day. But was anyone ready to experience the truth? When it came to Laila, no one was.
