Tap, tap, tap.

The only sound in this empty gym was the sound of me hitting the punching bag repeatedly. It's been basically a week since I've been here. Aurnia's mate only allows me to use the gym, train his mate or stay cooped up in the west wing like some rapunzel gone bad.

It's already hard enough to stay in this pristine royal pack house, and now I've got restrictions to where I can go too.

That's bloody sucks.

The only thing I take pleasure in doing lately is beating the shit out of these bags and spending time with Aurnia.

I mean provided that Aurnia did bail on me for a few days because of a little freak accident which left me incapacitated for a day or two. But we're back on our grind so it's all dandy.

"Mikey, I genuinely believe that you take joy in destroying my mate's punching bags." Aurnia commented making me jump. Speaking of the devil.

"Well, he is treating me like some wild animal, it's only fair that I act upon it." I smirked at her eyes rolling to the back of her head.

"It's the forth one in two days!"

"Fifth, and what's the big issue? He's loaded, a few punching bags won't make even a bent in his pocket." I shrugged as I wiped the sweat off my neck with a towel.

"Anyway what are you doing here? It's not our training day."

"Just wanted to check on you." I scoffed at her. "On the wild animal you mean?"

She gave me a stern look with her hands on her hips.

"You know why you can't go out just yet."

"Yeah, yeah. His brothers are here, if they find out I'm a hydrid they'll freak blah blah blah." I rolled my eyes and went back to punching mercilessly at the bag.

"Mikaela, you gotta understand, I don't like this as much as you do - but for your safety it's better for you to stay put. Just until the Blue Moon ceremony." my nose flared and my fangs immediately grew longer.

"You really think they can even lay a finger on me! I can knock both of them out in an instant if I wanted to!" I sethed in her face. She exhaled through her nostrils before piercing her lips.

"Mikey, your beasts are showing." she pointed at my eyes. I looked to the ground, concentrating hard to reign them back in.

"I know you don't like staying confined like this, but for a few more days, can you do that for me? I am the bride-to-be, cut me some slack." she nudged me playfully. I sighed and went back to my business.

"Fine. Anyway, when's the Blue Moon Sacrenum again?"

"In two days, hopefully nothing happens that day." she said as she rubbed her elbows.

"I wouldn't jinx it if I were you."

She stayed silent for a moment, seemingly deep in thought before snapping out of it.

"How about we have diner together tonight?" she asked me.

I stopped punching and stared at her.

"You want me burned at the stake don't you?" I deadpanned.

"Oh my god, no! Trust me, Othello won't be mad at you or anything I'll convince him." she smirked at me making me shudder.

"Whatever convincing method you'll use I don't wanna hear it, run along now before I vomit." I shooed her away. She laughed out loud as she walked away.

"Seven sharp!" she shouted out.

"Freaky bitch." I smile at the punching bag.
