Chapter 6

Ren POV
I woke up to something shining bright it my eyes. I guess it was the sun. I blinked a few times letting my eyes adjust to the sunlight. As I was about to get out of bed, I felt something weighing me down. I looked and saw someone laying on me. I had to think for a moment then realized that it was my mate. She looked beautiful.

I moved a stray of hair behind her ear and took a good a look at her face. She's so adorable when she sleeps. But in the end, every dream must come to an end.

I slowly got out of bed making sure not to wake her. I went to my bathroom to shower and brush my teeth. When I got out, Skyler was still asleep. I walked out of my bedroom and I could hear Vivian and Layla yelling at each other.

"Why don't you two ever shut the hell up!" I yelled at them.

That's when my beautiful mate came out of my room fully dressed and ready to go.

"Morning um....." I didn't know her name. All I knew was that she was my mate.

"Skyler" she said.

"Morning Skyler, sleep well?" I asked with a smirk on my face.

"Yup" she smiled and walked away into the kitchen.

I couldn't help but chuckle. The whole pack was at the table. What the fuck? I thought. Me and Skyler went to sit down. Breakfast was uncomfortable with all the stares and such. But at least the ride to school was great. Skyler seemed to have a good time on the ride to school.

As we entered the school, it was as crowded as always. I went to my locker and saw my group of friends and some pack members there. I opened my locker when suddenly I hear something.

"Skyler!" someone yelled my mates name.

I turned to see a angry guy heading towards us.

"YOU BETTER GET YOUR ARSE BACK HOME!" He yelled at my mate- I mean Skyler.

"Why would I do that?!" She asked annoyingly.

He raised his hand and was about to slap Skyler but I stepped between them and was slapped instead. Every one in the hall way stopped what they are doing and turned towards us. You could hear the low growls coming from my pack. He seamed to have heard it because he left without a word. Skyler then turned me around.

"Oh my god are you ok??" She asked in a worried and caring tone.

"Yeah I'm fine" I said.

She did one last inspection then let it be. Her face is cute when she's worried. She then slapped me up side my head.

"Hey!" I said in a bit annoyed tone. "What was that for?"

"Don't ever do that again!" She yelled at me.

Jeez sorry for caring for my mate. Is said in my mind.

'Sorry love but you shouldn't have done that' she said but her mouth didn't move. The only thing I could thing was "mind link." It took a while to process, but then I remembered we had marked each other last night.

I stick my tongue at her and walk to class. I couldn't help but protect her. She's my mate. What am I supposed to do stand and watch. Sorry but I'm not that kind of person. I thought to myself.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. One of my relatives had died and I had met someone who I love dearly. Plus school got in the way.
