I groaned, dropping my head onto the counter.
"You okay?" Mara asked, amused.
"No" I replied, my voice muffled by the table.
"What's wrong, Nov?" Mara sat on the island chair next to me.
I looked back at my laptop, "Who told me to leave this project until the very last minute?"
"Well, other than the fact that you've been going out instead of doing classwork these last few weeks..." Mara trailed off.
"Shut up. I know. That's why I'm doing the project now" I said.
"What is it? Maybe I can help" Mara offered.
"Are you taking AP Psych?" I asked.
"What? AP Psych is so easy. I took it last year" Mara nodded.
I glared, "I hate you"
"You love me" Mara laughed.
"Oh, Phoenix invited you this afternoon by the way" I informed.
"Phoenix... Sass?" Mara's eyes widened.
I nodded, "She's out of rehab and dancing again. I've been dancing with you a lot recently and she wants to meet you"
"Me? She wants to meet me?" Mara asked.
"Yes, Mars, you. She wants to meet you" I laughed.
"Yeah, I'll go! Are we- What are we doing?" Mara asked.
"We're going in at 2 to choreograph something and she has a class at 4, which we'll be teaching. Is that cool?" I asked.
"Fuck yeah!" Mara nodded.
"Wait, you're going out with Nova this afternoon?" Bless asked from behind us. We both turned around.
"Bless..." Mara shook her head, "I forgot-"
"No... it's okay. I hope you have fun" Bless scoffed and walked off.
"I made plans with her and our mutual friends for today" Mara quickly informed me before chasing after Bless.
