Chapter 19: Goka! Gokai?!

Hagumi: "W-what do I do? We have practice!!"

I stand up from my chair, walking over to Hagumi.

(Y/N): "Kitazawa-san, is something wrong?"

Hagumi: "What do I do?!? I went to play it and the string broke!!! What do I do?"

I see tears start to form on her eyes. I put my hand on her shoulder.

(Y/N): "Hey, it's okay, it's okay. Can I see it? I might be able to fix it."

Hagumi: "Really?"

(Y/N): "Maybe. I'll have to take a look at it first."

Hagumi and I leave walk to the hallway then into the studio room.

Misaki: "Oh, Hagumi you're back."

Kaoru: "Ah, (L/N)-san. What brings you here today?"

I walk over to Hagumi's bass. 

(Y/N): "There is a broken string here. What happened?"

Kanon: "Hagumi-chan, you broke your string?"

She looks down, guilt on her face. 

Hagumi: "...I didn't want to bother you guys..."

Misaki sighs. 

Misaki: "Y'know, you could've just told us. You could've borrowed one until it got fixed."

Kanon: "We weren't going to be mad at you."

Hagumi looks down, avoiding eye contact with them.

Hagumi: "...really? You wouldn't be mad?"

Kaoru: "Of course not. We would never."

Kokoro: "We don't need our instruments! We can practice with our smiles!"

Hagumi looks up, her face brightening up. I finish looking at her bass guitar, putting it back down.

(Y/N): "I can fix it, though it'll take a few days. Kitazawa-san, it it okay for me to take it home today to fix it? I can probably bring it back to you in three to four days. How's the weekend?"

Hagumi: "Really? You can fix it?"

(Y/N): "I can. Don't worry, you don't need to pay me or anything. Here."

I hand her my guitar bag. I was planning on practicing but it's fine.

(Y/N): "You can practice with this."

Hagumi looks at the bag then back at me. 

Hagumi: "Thanks!"

She suddenly jumps up and hugs me. I jump back in surprise, nearly falling on my back. 

Kanon: "Haha..."

Kaoru: "Fufu, how fl-"

Misaki: "Shh."

Kokoro: "Awww... Can I hug (Y/N) too?!"

I get Hagumi off me.

(Y/N): "No, it's fine! No more hugs!"

???: "Hahaha."

We hear the door open. I turn around to see who it is.

Kokoro: "Marina!"

(Y/N): "Oh, Marina-san. Back from shopping?" I look at the grocery bags in her hands.

Marina: "Yeah, I am. Can you help me with these, (Y/N)?"

I quickly get up and grab the bags from her hand. We leave the studio room.
