Superman's POV:

Clark was starting to get worried. It was not like Diana to be late to a League meeting.

Yesterday, after the battle, she had seemed off, but he couldn't exactly place what was wrong... Whatever it was, Diana was tough, she could handle it.

The others, however, weren't handling it quite so calmly.

"Where is she?! The meeting was supposed to start almost 20 minutes ago! Has anyone tried calling her?" Batman had taken to pacing alongside the meeting table where the others sat as they waited.

"Yes. I tried calling her earlier, but she wouldn't answer..." Flash appeared annoyed at the fact as he texted at blinding speeds.

"Maybe she's got her phone on silent... Or maybe she's busy elsewhere?" Captain Marvel mused thoughtfully.

Batman paused in his pacing. "No, she's been at her apartment since yesterday."

Green Arrow looked distressed. "You've been tracking her?!"

"Don't be ridiculous." Batman's gruff voice sounded almost insulted. "I track everyone."

Superman stood up. "Alright. There's an easy way to solve this. I'll go check her apartment. If she's not there, then we can start worrying."

The others quieted at the statement. Taking that as a sign of agreement and not wanting to wait any longer, Superman swiftly left.

The streets were mostly quiet as Clark Kent made his way to Diana's apartment. Only a few people were driving by as most were already at work. Clark was lucky he had taken the day off for League business, using the excuse of 'family matters'.

Clark slipped into the side entrance of the apartment complex, not wanting to attract unnecessary attention. He wandered until he found her door and knocked.

    "Hello? Diana? This is Clark."

    There was no answer.

    "Diana? Are you in there?"

Clark used his super hearing and could hear clear rustling from inside. There was a heartbeat, but he didn't recognize it as Diana's. A thief?

Clark tried the door. It was locked, and there didn't seem to be any signs of breaking and entering. He wished Batman were here as he'd be able to pick the lock easily without breaking down the door. Clark's reporter's pay could not exactly cover the damages, but if Diana had been hurt or worse...

Mind made up, Clark shouldered open the door. The locks snapped and the hinges gave an ominous groan...

As the door opened, Clark hear a sharp inhale and the shuffling went silent. Stepping in, he saw the apartment was not neat, but it was organized and full of stacks of books, and old Amazonian trinkets.

At no sign of his friend, or the supposed thief, Clark walk carefully deeper in, passed the coffee table, and towards a door on the far side.

    There it was again.

Someone was definitely on the other side of that door. That somebody was not Diana.

Clark crouched next to the door for a second, then threw it open ready to grab the thief-

And stopped at the sight of a tiny dark-haired girl clutching a lamp.

Her eyes widened in shock seeing him, but she had to have known he was there. She recovered quickly though, shifting her grip on the lamp she glared defiantly, which would have been almost intimidating if she hadn't been practically trembling.

Clark quickly dropped his intimidating stance.

"Hey there. What are you doing here?"

    There was no response.

"Calm down! I was looking for Diana. Do you know where she is?"

At that, the girl reacted immediately.

"Ποιος σε έστειλε! Τι θελεις με εμενα!"*

    Crap.

Clark had no idea what she just said.

Where was Diana when you needed her?!

"Ummm... I'm Clark. What's your name?"

He offered his hand to her with what he hoped to be a gentle smile.

The girl jumped backward with a shout.

    "Μείνουν πίσω! Μη με αγγίζεις!"*

    Apparently not.

She then hit him with the lamp and gave him a kick that would have really hurt had he not been invulnerable. Instead, she pulled back with a cry and dropped what was left of her lamp, holding her injured foot.

The girl, he really needs something else to call her, limped backward until her back hit the wall and she began subtly eying the nearby window and the door behind him.

    "Sorry! Umm... Hang on."

Clark pulled out his com and called Batman.

"What is it? Did you find her!"

"Hello to you too, Bruce. But to answer your question, not exactly. I found something... someone, really, but I don't know how she fits into this..."

"Stay put. I'll be right there."

    "Bruce? Bruce?! Darn, that man!"

Resigned, Clark backed out of the room, watching the girl, and settled down to wait.
