Jocelyn never married Valentine, she married Luke instead.
They raised their two children Jonathan and Clary Graymark happily in Idris and they were trained to be skilled Shadowhunters.

When Clary finished high school, she went to Idris university. The first day there, she was instantly drawn to a boy with golden hair and eyes. She learned later that his name was Jace Herondale.

They fell in love and later moved to an Institute in New York, to live with some friends of Clary's parents, the Lightwoods. Jace and the Lightwood son, Alec became best friends and Clary became best friends with his sister Isabelle. Her and Isabelle later became Parabatai just like Alec and Jace.

One day, when they were in Brooklyn, Clary spotted a mundane boy with messy brown hair and glasses, talking to his band mates. The weird thing was, he seemed to notice them. And they had a Glamour.

She heard someone call him Simon.
