To friends: With friends, Conri is loyal, protective, and surprisingly warm, even if he has a quieter, watchful presence. Although he's not the most talkative, his friends quickly learn that he's always there, paying attention to every detail. He might not jump into conversations often, but when he does, his words carry weight, offering thoughtful advice or a dry, sometimes unexpectedly sharp sense of humor.
Conri's protective instincts, especially as a wolf faunus, shine through in his relationships. He considers his friends part of his "pack," and that bond means everything to him. He positions himself near them almost instinctively, always watching for signs of danger or discomfort, ready to step in if needed. While he won't smother anyone, he'll subtly make sure everyone feels safe and supported, stepping in to shield them in a fight or offering a calm, reassuring presence when they need it.
He shows his affection in simple, unspoken ways: a pat on the shoulder, a nod of approval, or simply standing nearby in a quiet show of solidarity. For Conri, actions speak louder than words, and his friends know that when he says "I've got your back," he means it completely.
With those he's closest to, his walls come down a bit more, and a softer, even playful side emerges. His friends might notice him tilt his head in curiosity or lean in a bit closer, behaviors that reflect his wolfish traits. He also has a fierce sense of loyalty and will make subtle but meaningful gestures, like remembering details about them or doing small things he knows they'll appreciate. He might even tease his friends with a rare smirk or laugh when they least expect it, a reminder that he's fully present and genuinely invested in their lives.

To enemies: Conri shows little emotion when facing enemies, maintaining a cold and focused attitude. He prefers not to waste energy on unnecessary talk or theatrics, instead analyzing his opponents and seeking out weaknesses. His time in the White Fang has taught him the value of precision, so he approaches every fight with tactical clarity and composure. He doesn't rush into a fight blindly. Instead, he waits for the right moment to strike, using his agility and skill to outmaneuver his opponents before delivering a decisive blow. While Conri is trying to make amends for his past, his ruthless side can still emerge when facing enemies, especially those who endanger innocents or those he cares about. In combat, he won't hesitate to use lethal force if necessary, particularly when pushed to his limits or if his rage takes over. His "Crimson Wolf" persona comes through in the heat of battle, where his focus shifts entirely to neutralizing threats as efficiently and effectively as possible. If the situation demands it, Conri can be brutal, showing no mercy to those who have harmed others, reflecting the darker instincts he honed while working as a hitman. Conri has an imposing presence when confronting enemies, his stoic expression and cold demeanor contributing to an air of intimidation. Although Conri generally tries to keep his emotions in check, when dealing with enemies who have harmed those he cares about—especially Blake or Ruby—he becomes much more aggressive and vengeful. His protective instincts kick in, and he can become singularly focused on punishing those responsible.

Backstory

Conri Carmine was born into the White Fang and raised in its shadow. From the moment he could walk, he was taught that the world was against him — that strength, loyalty, and bloodshed were the only tools Faunus could rely on. By the time he was a teenager, Conri was already one of Adam Taurus's most trusted subordinates: a right hand, bodyguard, and enforcer. His skill and brutal efficiency earned him a reputation feared by both humans and Faunus alike. They called him the Crimson Wolf — a predator cloaked in red and black aura, ruthless and unyielding.

But beneath the mask of the perfect soldier, doubts began to fester. Conri could silence them in the heat of battle, but they always returned when the fighting ended. The mission that would scar him forever came when Adam ordered him to hunt down a group of White Fang deserters.

When Conri tracked them down, he found three of them were three pig Faunus brothers.

The youngest tried to bribe him with Lien and Dust, trembling as he begged for his life. Conri struck him down without hesitation. The second was paranoid, holed up in a ramshackle barricade, armed and desperate. He fought fiercely but clumsily, and Conri overwhelmed him in moments. Both kills should have been routine, yet the unease gnawed at him.
