"CRYSTAL!!!! MAKE FOOD!!!!" My dad slurred at me. Great, he's drunk...again. I went downstairs to go see what he wanted.
"What do you want dad?"
"FOOD!!!!! DIDNT YOU HEAR ME!?"
"I MEANT WHAT DID YOU WANT TO EAT!!!?"
"DON'T YELL AT ME LIKE THAT!!!!" He yelled at me then slapped me. I grabbed an apple and threw it at him and ran upstairs. I locked my door and started throwing all my clothes in my suitcase. I'm done! I'm leaving! I can't stand my dad! I looked online for houses in Cali. Luckily, there was one for rent. I called the number and settled things with them. Later on, I was able to move in. I hung up and then I checked my phone for any notifications.
1 new message from David
David: Come over.
I rolled my eyes. He always did this. He'd be sweet to me, then his mood would change.
Me: I-i can't
David: Why the fuck not!?
Me: I'm leaving.
David: NO YOUR NOT!!!!!
I just ignored the text message. I can't stand him. I then started to text Jc.
Me: GUESS WHAT!!!!!
Jc: WHAAAAT!?
Me: I'M COMING TO CALI!!!!!!!
Jc: REALLY!!!??? WOOOO!!!!!
Me: Yea!!!! I found a place already!!
Jc: Awsuum😉😂
Me: Pick me up at the airport tomorrow?
Jc: Yas
Me: Yay!! Okay, I'll text you and let you know what time my flight leaves. My dad's drunk again😒
Jc: That sucks😠but yas! Text me and lemme know!
Me: Kk! See ya Jc!
Jc: Kk!
I called the airport. There was a flight that leaves to California at 2:30. I looked at the time. 2:00!!!
"I'll take it thanks!!!!" I hung up and looked at my room.
"I'm sorry Mom. I need to leave dad. I hope your happy though, i got my own place. Have fun in heaven. I love you" I said looking out my window into the sky. I missed my Mom. She died from a murderer, that was aiming for me.
-Flashback to 1 year ago-
"Thank for the walk to the park Mom." I said smiling.
"You're welcome" she said to me smiling. All i could remember was a guy yelling at me, and my mom jumped in front of me and landed on the floor. covered in blood.
"NOOOOOOO!!!!!! MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
-Flashback Ended-
I had tears running down my face. I had to leave. I threw my suitcase out the window and it landed in the grass. But before I jumped, I wrote a letter to my dad.
Dad,
I'm done with you.

I put the note on my desk. I grabbed a picture of me and my mom and I jumped out the window. I landed on my butt.
"Ow!!!" I said nearly screaming. I ran to my suitcase, put the picture in, and started running to a bus stop.
"Nebraska Airport please." I said to the driver. I gave him the money and we left to the airport. I walked in, got my bag checked, grabbed my ticket and waited. While I did, I texted Jc.
Me: Hey! My flight leaves at 2:30!
Jc: Sweet! Text me and let me know when your about to land!
Me: Ok! See ya later Castillo
Jc: Later Crystal😉
10 minutes later,
"Flight 463 to California now boarding. Again, Flight 463 to California now boarding."
I got up and walked to the desk.
"WAIT!!!!!" I heard a guy yell. I turned to my right and saw DAVID running to me. I shoved my ticket into the ladie's hand and ran to board my flight. About 20 minutes later, I was settled in. I took out my music and played "Flights by Jack and Jack:
Said you've seen it all before, right?
But what about tonight?
Won't you open your eyes,
Take a look outside,
At the open skylight?
She tells me it's a little cold out,
Don't worry we'll fly south,

Trips to Paris,

Soon I felt the plane start taking off.
"Goodbye Nebraska." I said looking out the window.
Its time to start a new life.
