"We were scared not of the things we could see, but of the things we couldn't. Terrified of the creatures lurking it the dark, the monsters under the bed, the monsters in our heads. The things we couldnt understand scared us, it scared us more than anything that we've ever known. All we know is that it's there, but we don't know what it does, what it wants, what it takes to get rid of it. Our minds make us think that it will be our downfall, but sometimes it wasnt the mosters under our beds that scared us the most, but rather the monsters that lived inside us, begging to be set free."

Everyone was terrified of the house on the hill. It was dark, and said to have been abandoned, but most never believed it to be. Parents often warned their children about staying away from there, telling horrible tales about children who went in only to never return.

In truth, they were all scared of what could be lurking in that eery place.

Niall never believed in monsters, not the kind that had scales or fur that liked to devour humans, nor the ones that crept in your closet and hid under your bed.

Then Niall met the monster that nearly destroyed him, and everything changed.
