The Woes of Ms. Brown- Chapter 6

The parent drove home in a hurry, nearly causing several car wrecks all over town. The students anxiously awaited their parents return. The parents burst through the doors and said pretty much the same thing to their children, "You are going with that woman, no questions. Pack. You leave tomorrow." The students, whose parents had sworn mere hours ago that they WERE NOT letting their kids go anywhere. They all wondered the same thing:

What had changed their minds?"

The students packed hurriedly. They threw random necessities into their overnight bags. The parents had advised their children to take extra batteries/chargers for whatever they were planning to take. One girl, Liza, even packed her Harry Potter books for entertainment. The students were frenzied and a sense of panic and fear hung over each of their heads. Finally, they left for school in the morning. The day seemed to drag in into eternity and go extremely fast at the same time. Then, finally, it was time for Social Studies. They sat, for the first time ever, in complete and utter silence. Ms Brown slumped into the classroom, wearing sneakers and jeans and casual clothes. The students has been ordered to wear comfy hiking clothes. Which implied work. Which the preps (A/N: The stuck up, center of attention girls. You know what I'm talking about.) didn't like the sound of. Ms Brown gazed at the class. She said with a gulp,

"Well, we will be leaving after school today. Your parents agreed. Are there questions?" Every single student raises their hand. "Really? Yes, Toni, what?"

"Where are we going?" Toni, a fairly shy, smart girl questioned.

"Excellent question, but classified." This caused a slight uproar among the students. "You will find out when we get there."

"Obviously..." some students muttered.

As Ms Brown looked out among the diverse students. She had kids like Liza and Toni, good kids, Matthew and River, funny guys, Jake and Holden, bad kids, and Abby, Emma and Libby, preppy girls. It was going to be a very long trip.

*After School*

miraculously, the entire school did not know about the students leaving. But that wasn't really the main problem anyway. The main problem was how to get to their first safe location.

(A/N: I suggest listening to "The Dog Days are Over" here. The lyrics are spot-on for this.)

Ms Brown fumbled with her cell phone, taking out a slip of paper with a phone number on it. She said that is was a help line of sorts for their group. She hoped. She dialed the number. A man picked up. He said,

"This is the Addams Pizza Parlor, would you like to try our special?"

"Oh, wrong number, sorry sir..." Ms Brown redialed.

"This is the Addams Pizza Parlor, would you like to try our special?"

"What?! Sorry, wrong number again sir." She hung up. "Will someone else try?"

Luke grabbed the phone and dialed.

"This is the Addams Pizza Parlor, would you like to try our special?"

"Well, what is it?" Luke wondered, laughing the while time.

"Give me that!" Ms Brown ordered, taking the cell phone from Luke. She spoke into it,

"Look, do you know a Mr. Bradshire?"

"Look lady, I'm guessing you have the right number, if you know Mr. Bradshire. He gives this number out to everyone in the group who needs help. Did he not give you the password?"

"Not that I'm aware of."

"You need the password. Go get it. Now, would you like to try our specials?"

Ms Brown hung up angrily. She dialed another number.

"MR BRADSHIRE! You forgot to give me the password!"

"Megan? Oh dear, I suppose I forgot. The password is "Beverly Hillbillies"."

"Really."

Who in their right mind would say that to a pizza company?"

"Good point. Thanks." She dialed the number again. He picked up.

"This is the Addams piz-"

"BEVERLY HILLBILLIES!!!" Ms Brown yelled.

"Oh, don't you just love that password? I made it up, you see. The only fun part of the job. Now where do you plan to go?"

"The first safe place."

"All by yourself?"

"I have over 30 students with me as well."

"Oh. Well, in that case I guess I will have to personally assist you."

"Please don't..."

"Well, now I have to, just to bug you."

"We don't have enough time."

"Yes we do."

"No, we don't."

"Yes, we do!"

"No we don't!"

"Yes,"

"Forget it!"

"Fine, just stay put for an hour. Or move a minimal amount."

"Fine." Ms Browb grumbled.

Author Notes:

LONGER CHAPTER! Whoo! :D

If I make really stupid mistakes like typing idiom for assist, it's my autocorrect on my iPod touch.

I like this chapter:)

So, predictions?

Was this rushed? It felt like it. I'm sorry if it was. I think the next few chapters are going to be less... fun to write. Who knows. I don't really plan.
