I was shocked that it was Kellin Quinn who wanted to adopt me.
"Well hello Joanie" kellin said.
"Hi but call me turtle that's kinda my name" I said.
"Well ok then hello turtle" he said laughing, "so are you ready to go?"
"Umm... what you still have to interview me to see if I'm "good enough" to be adopted" I said confused.
"Hun you are perfect ok I already know that you are a perfect fit to the family."
"Oh o-ok well I didn't expect to be adopted today so let me go pack" I say.
"Well why would you think that" he asked
"Well because I look like this" I say gesturing to myself, "others thought I was going to be a bad influence on their younger kids so I never really needed to pack to go home with anyone."
"Turtle you look perfect you don't look like a bad influence ok, I know you have had a rough past an"- I cut kellin off.
"Wait how did you know I had a bad past" I ask him in disbelief.
"The people told me but not the story of why but you do not have to tell me until you're comfortable with it" kellin told me
"Okay I said let me go get my things" I told him really quick.
"Okay sweetie, hold on let me go with you to help okay" he said to me.
"Umm sure" I say I already have my things he doesn't need to see in a container in my makeup bag so I just have to get my clothes so I'll let him help.
"Well that's all of it" I say putting my last band shirt in my suitcase and zipped it up. I didn't have much only a about 30 band shirts, and 4 pairs of jeans.
"Ok hang on, I have it ok turtle" he said grabbing my bag.
"Oh ok thanks wait don't you have to sign the papers or something like that"
I asked.
"I already did while I waited to meet you I knew I was going to adopt you."
"Oh" I say and walked out the door.
Once we were in the car kellin asked "turtle do you have a phone?"
"Umm no I don't" I said to him.
"Well we are going to get you one right now, then we are going to go shopping for clothes and stuff for your room, okay?"
"Okay Kellin" I say.
"Hey none of that, call me dad, ok I'm now your dad so call me dad ok sweetheart."
"Alright dad" I say it was weird but it felt nice having someone I could call dad.
"Oh my gosh dad thank you so much" I say as he handed me my iPhone 6 plus after he put all the contacts I might need as in his wife katelynne the rest of the sws guys and the pierce the veil guys
"Alright now your aloud to text whoever you want except gabe that boy I forbid you to text him, for now okay turtle"
"Okay but why dad" I asked
"He's the only one who doesn't know about you yet so we are telling him tonight at the welcome home party we are having for you but don't tell them I told you you got that turtle"
"Yes sir" I say
"And you need to get a dress for tonight"
"Uggghhhhhh why a dress why not jeans and a band shirt dad"
"Because your mom's orders"
"Fine" I say
We finally go to the mall and i walk straight to hot topic where I was greeted by Annabelle one of the workers
"Hey turtle we haven't seen you here in awhile"
"Yeah I know I'm sorry about that but I finally got adopted"
"Yeah I'm so proud of you turtle-tart" (a/n idk just go with it) she said
I laughed at my nickname but then she asked/screamed/whispered "what is Kellin Quinn doing here"
"Oh he's the one who adopted me" I say
"Lucky why can't i be you" she laughed
"I'm sorry but I like being me so offer is off the table" I joke "oh by the way I need a dress for tonight some welcome home party with ptv sws and some other bands that I don't know about"
"Oh ok well aren't you lucky I was asked if I was a hooker this morning by a 60 year old man and you get adopted by your idol"
"I know right I'm so lucky but anyway the dress" I say
"Ahh yes here" she hands me a knee length simple black dress that flared out at the bottom
"Oh you know me so well" I say and try it on while kellin waits outside for me
I walk out and show him and he approved them I grabbed some mayday parade sleeping with sirens of MICE&MEN and other band shirts I don't have and was about to pay but dad wouldn't let me
"No I have it I say" to him
"No this is my treat" he said then handed Annabelle a 100 dollar bill and said keep the change then grabbed the bag and we left
"Oh fuck" kellin said
"What dad" I ask
"You need some shoes and we forgot them"
"No dad I have a pair of brand new converse I bought yesterday so I can wear them" I said back
"Damn yep rebel you will fit right in but what color are they"
"They are bright red but my dress is all black so I need some color"
"Ok that's fine"
"Yay thank you you're the best dad" I say hugging him
"Haha thanks kiddo" he says
We stopped at a McDonald's so I could change before we got home
"Really McDonald's dad"
"Yes now go change" he said handing me my converse and dress
After I got changed I walked out and everyone was staring at me so as always I put my head down and sped up my walking until I got back in the car then dad drove to his house
well this is going to be an adventure for me
