PLEASE READ!!!!!

I am writing and publishing this chapter on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.  I personally don't like when authors do this and interrupt the story, but I feel like I need to do this because of what is currently happening in the shitty world we live in.  I am from America, and this is about current things happening in America, but also will mention worldwide events and I still encourage you, no matter where you live to read this because it's about an event and an issue that affects us all.

First off, the trial of one of the officers involved in the barbaric murder of George Floyd is coming up.  I know that some people still don't see the issue with what happened that tragic day.  I am personally appalled by what those officers did and even further appalled by the little that has been done in relation to this.  To put this in Marvel terms, (spoilers for TFATWS) when Bucky and Sam went to Baltimore to visit Isaiah, not only was Isaiah's story heartbreaking because of the trials and tribulations he was put through because of his skin color and how hated he was because America couldn't stand the idea of their nation's symbol being a POC.  As well, Sam was randomly arrested while walking away from Isaiah's home he was stopped and almost arrested until Bucky, a white man, made them look and truly see who was in front of them.  Those officers didn't even think to look at Sam's face, to look at the person they were about to cuff, they simply saw a man with dark skin.  I hope that things will improve for the country and the people in it, and part of that is those horrible people being stripped of their titles and badges and locked up for good.

Next, on another, different note, this upcoming Thursday, the 15 of April, 2021, is the day of silence.  This is a tradition observed and practiced by thousands or more students around the world.  The day of silence is when LGBTQ+ and straight allies who are students take a vow of silence for the school day to protest and bring awareness to the effects harassment, discrimination, bullying, etc.  can have on LGBTQ+ students around the world.  I encourage you if you can observe, to take the vow, as well as doing your research and doing all you can to bring knowledge and awareness to this cause as well as to squash ignorance.
