He simply huffed before handing you what looked like a little journal, "we had an expedition where we found this. Hanji has already written down important information." Reaching out you grabbed it and tried looking at a few pages with your free hand. "A journal from a scout that went missing in the 34th expedition, that was years ago. They thought you'd enjoy reading this and figuring out what this means."

Isle's notebook never thought I'd get to read it.

You placed the book in your back pocket, "I'll read it when I have time."

While you were having a nice conversation with your brother, Miche was sniffing Marco. It was a common thing for him to do, however, it really did weird out freckled Jesus.

"Uh, may I help you?" he asked as the giant kept on sniffing, when he was done he simply smirked, gave him the lead to his horse, and walked towards the other scouts. Signaled that they should probably head out and talk to Shadis.

"I'll catch up with the two of you later, I'd like to speak with (Y/n) for a few moments," Erwin said to humanity's two strongest men. Both men nodded and left the stable area. Now it was simply you, Marco, and Erwin. "You've been training for a little over a year, how has it been so far?" He asked while guiding his horse to the inside of the stables with you following closely behind. But not too close for fear of having his white horse kicking you.

A big smile formed on your face, "It's been incredible so far! We have learned so much, there may be things that I struggle with but I have great friends who help me out! It usually ranges from reading to using cool techniques for the ODM!" You exclaimed with a voice full of joy as you led Dave, Levi's horse that he let you name oddly, to the stable next to Erwin.

"I'm glad that you are enjoying your stay here, but remember, you are here to become a soldier. So be sure to stay focused," the blond reached out for a horse brush to start working on the mane of the stallion.

"Of course!"

While this conversation continued Marco continued to awkwardly be working on the other horses, not really knowing how to be part of the conversation. "Sir, I can brush your horse while you head with Shadis."

Erwin simply smiled while waving the brush in the air, "don't worry. Brushing horses is my mane specialty," he then let out a laugh while putting the time away. He defensively planned that.

Your face grew warm as you let out a wheeze at the horrible pun, he really was a dad.

Then there was Marco who was forcing out a laugh to be polite, or at least that's how the laugh felt.

After there's a bit of an awkward silence fiiling the room. Although it was noticeable that Erwin was tempted to make a bother joke but didn't.

He took a step in front of you and patted the top of your head, "a short-lived conversation although I hope to speak to my daughter soon." Again what with the title with daughter, being called his child felt good. But again, not really feeling the woman title.

"Sir! (Y/n) doesn't really like being called a girl or anything like that." Marco jumped right next to you, giving a frown to the tall man. "They'd really appreciate it if you don't call them that," a frown was adorned on his face, he was showing the distaste more than you did. Then again you weren't really one to talk about something like that to a parental figure. The fear of them disowning you for trying to be who you really are does scare you.

Especially after you tried talking about the LGBTQ+ with your mom, it resulted in you crying in the closet because of the comments she shared. That conversation didn't include you coming out as a queer. However, it still really did hurt to hear her hateful words about the community. So it was a bit obvious that you felt a bit afraid sharing such a thing with the adults here just like back at home.
