Ch.15

Rayleigh pov:
I stare down at the positive pregnancy test not sure wether to be happy or not. Felix was rubbing the back of my hand In comfort.  I smile at him. "We're parents again Lixxie" he kisses my cheek and I can't help but smile at his cute little laugh. "I love you" he presses his forehead against mine. I guess all we can do is cherish this moment while we have it.

Changbin pov:
We all sat around the table planning our next supply run. Chan layed out the map and marked the spots to avoid. "Stay out of the crowed part of town. Woojins men could still be looking for us. I wish I could come with you" Spencer makes a list of what we need while the other girls were watching a movie. We try not to include them in our outings so that they can stay safe. "I want to go" I look up to see Marlee leaning against the door frame. "No Marlee. We've already talked about this. I don't want you hurt." She walks over the table not breaking eye contact with me. "I can help." My glare softened a little remembering our conversation from last night.

Flashback:

"I don't want to feel useless anymore. All I do is heal people I can't protect anyone. Leaving me here with them does nothing." I pull her into my arms and stare into her eyes. "You're not useless. You just brought Jeongin back from the dead! I wouldn't call that useless" she rolls her eyes. "Please let me go with you. I'll stay out of the way and I'll only help if needed and I don't want to be separated from you it's too dangerous and you could-" I cut her off by kissing her playfully. She pouts and looks at her feet while playing with the hem of my shirt. "It'll be fast baby. I'll be back and everything will be okay" she sighs dramatically and plops down on the bed dragging me with her. "If something happens to you and you didn't let me help I'm going to hate myself." I rub her head and kiss her cheek. "I won't let that happen" she hums a reply before drifting off.

End of flashback:
I reach for her hand slipping my finger between hers. "It's too dangerous. We have enemies all over the outside world. I don't want you caught in the crossfire because of something that happened before you even came." Her hand falls from mine as she nods in defeat. My heart sinks at the broken look in her eyes. I know she's thinking that she's useless again. I'll comfort her when we get back. She stomps out the front door. I jump up to follow her but leeknow stops me. "She's probably going for a walk to cool off. If we leave now we could be back before Tuesday." I hate to leave her for this long. Especially after an argument. I keep telling myself three days isn't too bad but it hurts just the same.

We all load the bus and get ready to go. Leeknow, Hyunjin, Han, Felix and I being the only ones leaving. Everyone says good bye but I don't see Marlee anywhere. I thought she would at least see me off. As I hug chan goodbye I ask him to watch out for her. "Can you make sure she gets home soon. I don't want her out all night." He nods and pats my shoulder. "Be careful. Radio in if anything happens." He hands me Spencer's list which contained baby supplies and our normal supplies. "See you in three days" he chuckles and gives me a mock salute. I sigh as we enter the hellevator and make our way to the bus. I sit down as we leave with Hyunjin driving. I just hope she makes it home soon. I don't want her to get sick because of me.

Chan pov:
After the boys left everyone went inside. I pulled Rayleigh aside seeing as she looked anxious. "Is everything okay?" She nervously fiddled with her fingers. "Yeah. I-I'm just nervous ab-about Felix." They always get nervous when we leave for supply runs seeing as anything can happen but this seemed like something more. "You know you can tell me right?" I panicked as she just fell to her knees and started sobbing. I thought about getting Spencer but I didn't want to intrude on Rayleigh's business more than I already had. I crouch down and pull her into a hug rubbing her back. "I'm p-pregnant. I don't wa-want him to l-leave." Her stutter got worse due to the sobs racking her body. I froze in shock.

I know about their past with trying to have children. I didn't know weather to be happy for them or worried. I don't understand why they wouldn't tell us. Or at least me. I never would have let Felix go if I would have known. She needs him right now. Kenalyn walks in to see what the commotion was but immediately stops in her tracks seeing her friend in a mess on the floor. She rushes to her side take her from my arms and shushing her. "What happened? What did you do?" She glared at me over her shoulder and hold my hands up in defense. "I didn't do anything! She just misses Felix that's all" she drops her glare seeming to believe me and goes back to consoling her friend.

After Kenalyn takes Rayleigh upstairs to bed I wait in the living room for Marlee to come home like Changbin has asked me too. After 2 hours she still wasn't home and I started to worry. I go up to her shared room with Changbin only to see the drawers pulled out and clothes all over the floor. Most of them were missing and her shoes were gone. "Damn it!" I run down the stairs to the kitchen pulling out the small radio and switching on the stations. "Changbin? Changbin can you hear me?" After a moment of static I get an answer. "Chan? What's wrong you don't usually radio in" leeknow's voice echos through the speakers. My heart doesn't stop racing.

"Get Changbin on the radio now!" I'm sure he was confused but he reluctantly hands it over to him. "Chan what is it?" I run my fingers through my hair as the stress gets worse. "Please tell me Marlee isn't on that buss." There's a moment of silence on the radio where I guess he was checking for her. "Fuck" I slam my head on the table at his response. It was too late for them to turn around and I just know Changbin is giving her an earful as we speak. "Yeah she's here. What do we do?" Leeknow comes back on the radio and I try to compose myself coming back to my leader position. "It's too late to turn around and she's too persistent anyways. You'll just have to keep a close eye on her and be extra careful! I expected updates every night until you return." He agrees and I look up to see Spencer looking at me from the doorway with confusion. As if he could read my mind Leeknow speaks again. "Okay Chan get some rest. Signing off" we both switch off the radio and sigh before putting it away and meeting my fiancé at the door. "What was that about?"

I grab her hand and we walk to our l room laying in bed and getting comfortable with my arms around her. "I'll explain everything tomorrow. For now let's just get some sleep." I could tell she was worried but she doesn't push the subject and cuddles into my chest. I rest my nose in her hair before drifting off to sleep.
