Ch.10

Henley pov:
I rub my eyes as the exhaustion sets in. The room around me is a complete mess. As soon as we arrived at district 7 I was shoved into a room. It was a pretty nice room. A queen sized bed on one wall with silk curtains that little filtered the light. The walls are painted a faint purple. There's a plush carpet in the middle of the floor and delicately painted art prices decorate the walls.

I couldn't understand why woojin would put me in such a nice room. I hate it. No one has been in to check on me since we got here and I already tried the door. Locked. I had realized within the first 5 minutes that the metal band around my wrist was restricting my power. The more I looked at it the more I want to destroy something . So that's what I do. The first thing I come in contact with is the bed. Within seconds pieces of wood and fabric are strown across the room.

I smile in satasfaction as every object under my touch is destroyed. I sit in the middle of the floor barley holding my eyes open from my outburst. All I had to do now was wait for the others to come and rescue me. But if they think I'll play nice until they get here they are dead wrong.

Hyunjin pov:

We've been driving for hours and everyone was getting impatient especially Han. He hasn't left the front of the bus since we left. Seungmin printed out a map before we left so that he didn't have to continuously give directions. We both sat in the back and he layed his head on my shoulder. I thought he was asleep until he looked up at me and touched my cheek. He rubbed his thumb across the cut I got from the fight.

"Does it hurt" if I wasn't paying full attention to him I wouldn't have heard him because he was whispering. "A little. Maybe you should kiss it better" after I said that he leaned up and kissed my cheek making me freeze. I didn't expect him to actually do it. I could feel my face heat up a little and I looked away so he wouldn't see me blush. He giggles and I couldn't help but look back at him just to see his cute little smile. "Better?" I nod and he picks up my hand to play with my fingers.

I'm used to skinship with him but for some reason it doesn't feel the same now. I know how I feel about him but I don't think he would feel the same. He just got his heat broken and I wouldn't be able to handle it if he rejected me. So we are just stuck as really close friends who flirt. A lot.

Jeongin pov:
After chan started talking about all of them possibilities of this mission I couldn't help but worry. What if something happens to me and I never get to tell kenalyn how I feel? She was currently sitting in the seat behind me sharpening a dagger she had picked up from one of Woojin's men. I rest my arms on the back of my seat and just admire her. "You know it's not nice to stare?" She caught me off guard since she didn't even look up. "Sorry" she just laughs and pats my head. "Don't worry about it kid"

I grit my teeth at the nickname. "I'm not a kid" she smiles and looks back down at her dagger. "Sure you're not" it didn't sound sarcastic but I know that's what she meant. "I'll prove that I'm not a child" I mumble as I huff and turn back around in my seat. Maybe if I show her I can protect her she'll see me as more than a kid.

Chan pov:
Spencer was asleep a few seats back while her head rested on the window. Marlee and Changbin just sat silently staring at eachother as if they were memorizing every detail of the others face. Han sat right behind me while I drove. He's a little anxious. Seungmin had given the map to him and he was very much annoying me with the directions. I know he's excited to get Henley back but he needs to calm down a little.

"Stope here!" Han almost jumped out of his seat when we arrived. I tell him to wait a minute so I could scout the area. As I left the bus I was surprised to see a rather big building in the middle of the desert. It didn't look anything like district 7. District 7 is more of a military base. This looked more like a mansion or a company building. So he hid her away? "What is this place?" I turn around and pin the person who snuck up behind me In a headlock only to see that it was Han. "Hyunggg. I can't breathe" I let him go and lightly punch him on the shoulder.

"I told you stay in the bus" he pouts while he rubs his probably bruised arm. "I know but I can't wait anymore!" I sigh. I swear these kids are going to be the death of me. "Fine go get the others and don't you dare take off without me understand?" He nods and runs off to fetch the others. I take a good look at the building. Well have to be quick considering all the windows. The only way I could see for us is to fight our way through. As soon as the others joined me we went over the plan.

The first group which is o it members with elemental powers (Han, Felix, Jeongin, and Changbin). The rest of us went in the back. We split up so one group could look for Henley and the other can take down anyone they see. Even though my power is defensive I go with the offensive group. I can hold my own in a hand to hand fright. As soon as we walk in there we're two guards that were easily taken out by Leeknow's mind control.

Seungmin, Spencer, Rayleigh, and Marlee slip past us to look for her as Leeknow, Hyunjin, Kenalyn, and I continue down the hallway. We take out all the guards in our way as our element team works their way from the front.
