Ch.3 District 8

Marlee pov:

I was fidgeting with my hands the whole way to the skz base. Hyunjin told us that skz would be happy to take us in but I don't feel like I have much to offer to the team. I don't want to be a burden. "Marlee why are you so quiet? You were excited to meet the guys just a little bit ago" hyunjin sits beside me as he talks while seungmin takes the wheel for a while.

I smile big at him and giggle. "I am excited just nervous I guess" he nods and doesn't question anymore. After healing kenalyn, speancer, and hyunjin's wounds I head over to seungmin. I decide to let Henley sleep some more. I noticed how seungmin had been rubbing his wrist. "Do you mind?" He briefly looks at me before looking back at the road and holding out his right hand now only driving with his left.

I gently wrap my fingers around the swollen wrist and he hisses. "Sorry" my hand starts to glow as I feel his bones put themselves back in place. "Don't worry about it. I've been through worse." He gives me a cute eye smile and I can't help but smile back. He's like a little puppy. "So how many memebers are in your little group?" I look at him with pure curiosity and he laughs. "Not group. We're a family. And there's 8. But with what I see here 13 seems better fitted." He smiles as I realize what he's implying.

"But you barley know us! How could you accept us so easily?" My question seems a little biased considering that's exactly what I did with Henley. I already felt a sister like connection with her. Especially after she saved me. And I even see kenalyn warming up to her and that's really her style. "Well we trust Spencer and if your friends of her and hyunjin your friends of ours" I'm glad he feels that way but I really hope I can contribute something to them.

Chan pov:

We've all been waiting at the elevator entrance for the new arrivals. I was starting to get worried because seungmin never takes this long without at least contacting us. My worries we're washed away as the doors open to reveal the 6 we've been waiting for. What surprised me was there was an extra person I had no idea about. I understood when I saw the red band. Of course Spencer would want to protect her.

I couldn't stop the smile that spread on my face as I locked eyes with the love of my life. I opened my arms for her and she ran to embrace me. I picked her up and spun her around as she wrapped her legs around my waist. I burry my face in her hair to breathe in her sent that I missed so much.

I can feel her heavy breathing and immediately know that she's crying. I lean away from her to caress her face and rub my thumb across her cheek to wipe the tears away. "Don't cry love." She laughs as she gives me a sweet kiss before I set her on her feet. "I missed you channie" the nickname immediately brought a bigger smile on my face if that was even possible. Her voice ringing in my ears like a sweet song. I held both sides of her face and looked into her eyes. "Don't ever leave me again okay?" She nods and barries her face in my shirt.

Once she lets go I greet the new members of our group. "I'm Chan. I'm the leader here. Thank you for helping bring back Spencer and hyunjin" I lead them all back to the base as I give them a tour and show them their new rooms. I introduce everyone and let them talk for a while to get to know eachother. It seemed everyone was getting along well. The only thing was that Henley wasn't talking much. She seemed a little distant. She wouldn't get very close to anyone and if they sat by her she would quickly scoot away.

I decide to ask Spencer about it later. "Did you have any problems getting here?" They all tensed up at my question. Spencer looked down at her lap as everyone else avoided eye contact. They were hiding something. "Woojin took Spencer before we could leave. They beat her until she told them our plan." I could feel my blood start to boil. I clenched my fist so hard that my nuckles turned white. They all glared at kenalyn and she shrugged. "He would have found our sooner or later!"

Just the thought of his hands on Spencer made me want to strangle him with my bare hands. Even though I was pissed I couldn't let my anger get the best of me. I turn to her and pull her into my arms. "Are you okay baby? I'm so sorry I couldn't be there with you!" She hugged me back and it helped comfort me a bit to know that she was safe in my arms again. "Marlee healed all of my wounds. I'm much better now that I have you." I kiss her head and hug her tighter. I don't want to let go anytime soon.

I look over at marlee as she sits on the couch on the opposite side of the room next to to seungmin. "Thank you" she smiles and nods. I lead everyone to the dinning room for dinner. Everyone laughed and talked and it was comfortable. Even Henley laughed at a few of changbins jokes. As we all finish dinner everyone heads to bed as I tell them I would show them around outside tomorrow.

"Oh and welcome to district 8"
