CHAPTER TWO

"Rachel are you ready? I need to go." I rolled my eyes as Xavier shouted at me. I grabbed my leather jacket and pulled it on, while walking downstairs. "About time," he complained as we walked out of the house.

"Where are you going anyway?" I inquired a few minutes after we left.

"I'm going out with some of the guys from the team and Paul Williams." I nodded my head not really paying much attention. I was actually quite nervous about tonight. "Do you need a lift home later?" I looked at Xavier when he spoke.

"I'm not sure; I'll text you when I know." He nodded his response and continued to concentrate on the road.

 *

"Text me later if you need a lift," he said as we pulled up outside the cinema.

"Okay, thanks for the lift." He nodded, I climbed out of the car and he drove away. I spotted Sean standing outside the cinema doors. I walked over to him and smiled when he saw me. I have to admit, he was looking really hot. He was wearing a pair of jeans, a red plaid shirt and a jacket.

"I was beginning to think that you wouldn't show up." He said as I stopped in front of him. I laughed and he bent down and kissed my cheek. "Are you okay with seeing 'The King's Speech?" he asked as we walked into the cinema.

"Yeah, sounds good." He smiled and we walked to the ticket booth.

"By the way, tonight's my treat."

"No I can't let you pay for everything." He chuckled and continued to buy the tickets.

Once we were sitting in the screen, Sean turned his body to face me. "Still pissed I wouldn't let you pay?" He asked with a smirk.

"I'm not pissed; just annoyed." He laughed and shifted in his seat.

"Well you can pay for the coffee we're going for later." I laughed and nodded as the movie started.

*

"Did you enjoy the movie?" Sean asked as we walked into town.

"Yeah it was a good movie." I felt him slide his hand in mine and lace his fingers with my fingers. "You seem like a guy who likes to take chances to me." I told him with a smirk.

"Not really. I just though I'd keep your hand warm." I laughed at his answer and we walked in silence. But it wasn't one of those awkward silences.

"So can I buy you a coffee then?" I asked as we walked into the coffee shop.

"I'm sure you can. But I'm buy the coffee's so in reality no." I raised an eyebrow at him as we stood at the counter. We stared at each other until I backed down.

"Okay fine," he smiled and pulled out his wallet.

"What are you having?"

"Black coffee," he nodded and ordered for us.

"So where do you want to sit? Your choice," he asked me with a smiled making me laugh.

"I really don't care; anywhere to be honest." He shook his head with a slight laugh, before walking over to a table.

"What's Cedarhill like then?" Sean asked after we sat down.

"It's okay I guess. Just like a normal school; the popular, not so popular and the ones who don't talk to anyone." I said before taking a sip of the hot liquid in my coffee cup. I looked up at him looking at me curiously. "What?" I finally asked feeling self conscious.

"Nothing; just trying to figure out what group you fit in with what you just told me." His lips curling up into a smirk, making me laugh. I couldn't wait what he had to say.
