The past couple of days was a tough day for everyone. They didn't know where to start when it came down to getting Hakeem's innocence proven. They still had to wait until they gave him a court date.

Everyone stayed up till the wee hours of the morning thinking of ways to get Hakeem's innocence proven, looking for a good lawyer, and waiting on a call from Hakeem—the past couple of days he's been in there he hasn't picked up the phone and called anyone.

Little did they know Hakeem decided not to call anyone. He's had plenty of opportunities to use the phone and contact his family. He spent days thinking about his daughter. "My daughter won't have nobody if I'm stuck in here" "I wonder what my lil girl doing" "I'll do that shit all over again if it prevents her from getting hurt." And etc.

Till this day he still doesn't regret his decision. He would still do it all over again. The only thing that got to him was seeing his daughter crying. He was the only stable parent she has. He didn't like the fact that he was the reason behind her crying due to the choices he made. Nevaeh was confused, she didn't know that her father raged and shot someone multiple times. But seeing the officers surrounding him automatically clicked to her that he was in trouble.

He didn't like the fact that his daughter is possibly out here questioning people about his wrongdoings without them having an answer. Times like this is when he wished Miracle had her shit together, Nevaeh is supposed to be able to run to her mother.

Instead of being with her mother, she spent days with Amarie, Aunisty, and Amir. Mainly Amir. He took her under his wing. Hakeem was the brother and best friend he never had. So, he made sure to look after Nevaeh. Nevaeh grew up knowing Amir as her Uncle. So she clung onto him just as much as she clung onto the girls.

Meanwhile, they sat in the living room searching for a good lawyer. They didn't care about the prices, they just needed Hakeem back home. Amarie sat there still unsure of how to feel while helping them look for a lawyer, the whole rape case Hakeem supposedly has invaded her mind.

She wanted to ask them, she couldn't help but to ask them.

"Why did no one told me about the rape case Hakeem supposedly has from two thousand seventeen?" Amarie blurted out, "that night he got arrested the officer blurted out that the case reopened.."

"Rape case?" Both Aunisty and Amir said eyeing her confusingly.

Amarie shrugged in response. Amir couldn't help but to feel some type of way. Hearing that pissed him off, upset wasn't even the correct word to describe how he's feeling.

"Hakeem isn't a rapist. Out of my years of knowing him I can tell you that he doesn't get down like that." Aunisty spoke. Which is true, never in a million years would Hakeem try to take advantage of a female.

"Rape case?" Amir repeated, "he doesn't have no fucking rape case. You believed that shit? Out of all things you believe that he's a rapist? You fucking stupid. You think he'll take advantage of a female knowing damn well he has a daughter?"

"Amir, can you calm down-"

"Nah fuck that. That officer lying his ass off!"

"Me and you both know that. There's no reason to be mad. Just get it handled. We know Hakeem, we know that he'll never in a million years do something  like that. As long as you know, you have nothing to worry about."
