Chapter 1: Unexpected Ecounter

1 month before the Magic Knights Exam

The Magic Knight Captains of the Black bulls and the Green Praying Mantis were not happy not only were they told to work together for this mission but also due to the fact they were going to the very edge of the clover kingdom with no clarification on what threat they were facing if not any at all The Wizard King just said "take care of it" like its a simple task Honestly why even send them they thought it was only until they reached the village they understood

The Village had shown signs of a battle taken place there was destruction everywhere buildings were demolished
And there were corpses of some of the Villagers around there was also signs of crops and valuables being stolen also

"Jeez what the hell happened around here?" Questioned yami eyes narrowed at the destruction everywhere as he looked closer it seemed that whomever did this did it about a couple of hours ago

"Ke ke ke whats wrong yami scared?" Teased Jack

Before he could retort to his companion yami noticed there were survivors to the attack the moment they noticed the Captains they ran straight towards them begging them to help

"SHUT THE HELL UP" yami shouted annoyed of the Villagers loudness reminded of his own squads shenanigans at home as he smokes looking around them to see if there's anymore injured after noting they are all fine he immediately asks

"What the hell happened here?" He questions

"B-bandits Sir they a-attacked us randomly we t-tried to stop them but mo-most of us were killed we would've all been if not for h-him..." the Village elder stutters clearly scared of the current events and the two Captains

"He?" Both Captains say in unison very confused as to who did it "ke ke do you know if it was a Magic knight?" Jack questions annoyed that they could've been sent as backup

The Elder visibly flinches at their stares
"W-we don't k-know Sir Magic Knights they were wearing a Mask and we could not see a robe anywhere on their person nor a grimoire to be honest "

This peaked the Captains interest its clearly not Vangeance because there's no sign of his magic anywhere so who was it there was no other Magic Knight who wears a mask in the Kingdom a spy? They would need to find them straight away to insure this person was not a threat to the Kingdom Silently nodding to each other as they think the exact same thing Yami asks "which direction did they go?" The elder immediately responded "they left to deal with the bandits just a bit that way" the elder shakely points into the forest immediately the Captains run into the forest determined to find this stranger

TIMESKIP NEAR THE BANDIT CAMP

As Yami and Jack approached the camp they were immediately stopped once they had seen what has come of it

Holy Shit they both thought at the same time

The camp was in ruin there was very clear signs that whoever did this did it with no struggle most of the tents were on fire the walls surrounding the camp were destroyed only certain parts of it still standing but what perplexed them was that the so called bandits were tied up near the entrance all showing signs of a one sided beat down the captains approached one of the tied up bandits whom was still conscious and before they could ask him a question the guy panics

"H-help us! W-we don't care if you take us to jail or something just please save us from that Monster!"

Both Captains exchange a look with each other nodding to the bandits to continue

"W-we had j-just started a raid on some Village it was meant to be no challenge at all supposed easy pickings as the boss put it until tha-that thing showed up"
