The Life He Lives

Have you ever known inside, something wasnt true

Knowing you couldnt coincide, so you let it brew

Rain fell in the dim lit, arid day of the sun

Buildings blocked, couldnt throw no fit, thats the way lifes done

Cigarettes beware, of his dull dead stare

Mushed between a can of coke, punched beyond repair

Tomorrows planned, hospital visit

Hangover please be gone

Cant understand, so he just zips it

This aint the way he wants

Five fingers tapping the glass

Till his patience breaks or his fingernails shed

How long must it last, a dread dread dreadful day

To the porch I see once a month

To the breath I take once a drag

Reflective tape, mirrors on all the doors

For Christ sake, hell and all its floors
