Jester sat against a wall, half in and half out of an alley with his legs propped against the opposite brickwork. He was turning his cap over in his hands and regarding the fresh bruises that had appeared across his knuckles since yesterday. They were dark and ringed with yellow and hurt a little bit but he didn't mind; wasn't anything new to him. He'd gotten into enough scrapes without meaning too for bruises to be a permanent fixture on him, much to Jack's dismay. As if he was any better.

"Jest!"

Jester looked up and scrambled quickly to his feet as a grin spread across his face. He pulled his cap on again so he could doff it at Leslie as she jogged over to him. "Evenin'," he said.

"It's three in tha' afternoon," Leslie twisting to squint at the sun, which was well past its halfway point but nowhere near setting.

"Irrelevant,"

"It ain't, but whateva makes ya happy," Leslie chuckled, shaking her head at her friend as he grinned goofily. "Where ya' been all day yesterday?"

"Don' get ats me but I near got arrested again,"

Leslie snorted. "Course ya did, why ain't I surprised?" She raised a hand as Jester opened his mouth. "Don' answer that. An' y'know well as I does ya ain't gotta worry bout me gettin' at ya,"

Jester chuckled and mock winced. "Ya makes a good point. Don' let Blu gets at me then,"

"Nah, yous deserves it if ya near got caughts again. What's ya do this time?"

"Apparently climbin' on a crane is considered trespassin'. Who woulda thoughts'"

"Jesus Christ," Leslie laughed, shaking her head as Jester shrugged, chuckling. She leaned against the alley wall. "Yous an idiot ya know,"

"It's jus' one a' my many wonderful traits. Tell me ya wouldn't do the same thing,"

"I'se wouldn't gets caught,"

"Gettin' caught makes it more fun," Jester said.

"Absolutely it don'," came another exasperated voice from behind them.

"Oh, how's ya do Blu?" Jester said, giggling a little at himself.

"That greeting ain't funny ya know," Blu told him. He seemed to appear from nowhere, standing next to Leslie. It wasn't surprising thought; this was their usual meet up spot.

"Sure it is," Jester said, looking at Leslie for backup. She shook her head at him again.

"It ain't,"

Jester's face fell and he mock frowned. "You guys is no fun,"

"Nah, yous jus' ain't funny," Leslie replied, laughing at him.

Jester looked offended. He put a hand on his chest. "How dare yous!" he exclaimed as Blu nodded his agreement. "Yous both bullies,"

"We ain't bullies, we'se simply lettin' ya know. Like the good friends we is," Leslie chuckled. "We all knows I'se the funny one,"

"I'se wouldn't say that," Blu put it.

"Yeah, if I ain't the funny one you's certainly ain't," Jester added.
