Shinso watched as rain drops started falling down from the sky, making the window too foggy to see anything besides blurred colours from the outside.

He was sitting in the passengers seat, quiet next to Eraserhead as his mind was screaming at him. It was like many different voices were all telling him different things, making his head hurt but he tried to ignore it by counting the amount of rain drops dripping down the window.

The weather made him feel tired too.

The atmosphere around Eraserhead and him wasn't uncomfortable though Shinso still had his guard up though, not completely on board with trusting an adult but knew even if Eraserhead was going to hurt him, he would be too weak to protest.

The cops had assured him he wasn't in anyway going to be charged but they don't understand the gravity of the situation. They don't understand how Shinso left a girl behind knowing full well of the dangers it could cause. No one understood it.

But once UA finds out he will definitely be kicked. What if they already did? What if Eraserhead is trying to find the right words to say that his hope of becoming a hero will never workout? What if his stuck in the orphanage forever until his 18, then get kicked out and live in the streets until he eventually starves himself to death? What if-

"Your overthinking again Shinso." Eraserhead said sighing at the teen. Shinso didn't realize he was biting his lips and using his fingernails to claw his arm, while looking down on the car's floor before Eraserhead mentioned. He quickly stopped and looked away, feeling embarrassed his school's teacher keeps seeing him weak like this.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled quietly.

"It's fine. Do you want to go somewhere to eat? I don't mind buying something," Eraserhead said glancing at the boy.

Was he hungry? Last time he ate was before the sports festival right? Then he hasn't ate since yesterday morning. Does that even matter? It's not like he hasn't ate for longer periods. Besides Shinso is lucky Eraserhead was willing to let someone like him inside his car. Using his money would be rude.

"It's alright. I'm not hungry." Shinso replied avoiding looking at Eraserhead's questioning eyes, scared he'll see through Shinso's wall of defense. It was easy for Shinso to lie but when it came to Eraserhead he found it hard to. Maybe it's because of the respect he had for his biggest inspiration.

Eraserhead hummed not believing a word Shinso said but continued driving towards his orphanage. He had many questions to ask the teen but judging from his reactions earlier Eraserhead decided it's best to not ask at the moment.

"When was the last time you ate then?" He kept his eyes on the road but he caught a glimpse of a very uncomfortable Shinso staring outside the window while his hands clenched on the seat belt he was wearing. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to ask a student something personal like that. But it would be illogical for a hero to ignore someone potentially starving.

"I'll eat at the orphanage." Shinso said trying his hardest to sound confident. He felt a lump in his throat the more and more he lied. He highly doubted the directress of his orphanage was happy enough to spare him some left overs at the moment.

Eraserhead glanced at Shinso just once and knew he was lying. He wasn't sure if he should confront him about it. Shinso did dodge the question for a reason. Maybe he was peeking too much in to the other's life.

The sound of rain drops falling on the car's roof was all that was heard the rest of the way. Neither Eraserhead or Shinso tried to break the tense atmosphere in the car. They were both lost in their own thoughts to talk about something.

Shinso snapped out of it when he heard the car engine stop. He looked outside the slightly foggy window, noticing the rain had stopped and they had arrived.

He couldn't help but feel nervous peering at the large rusting gate which protected the 1 story building built in red bricks and surrounding trees from most people.

It was the mansion of his nightmares.

Shinso blinked away the memories of years and years of negligence as Eraserhead gently held his shoulder. He cursed himself for flinching.

"Is something wrong?" Eraserhead asked noticing the nervous sweat on Shinso's forehead and his trembling body.

Shinso responded a few seconds of silence later, putting on his poker face. "No. I am fine." It sounded more of an assurance to himself but Eraserhead didn't say anything about it.

"Thanks for driving me." Shinso continued in a distant voice, still looking at the gates as he unbuckled his seatbelt.

He held the bag on his shoulder tightly as Shinso opened the door, slowly stepping out. It wasn't raining, but the sky was pretty dark. Eraserhead noticed how much the boy was shivering.

It shouldn't be that cold outside.

His mauve eyes still hadn't left the building as Shinso felt like the second he looked away something would emerge from there and he would be too weak to fight it too.

His mind screamed at him to not let go off Aizawa's car door, which he was grasping tightly but he did, realising Aizawa wouldn't want someone like his dirty hands straining his black car.

He gulped before closing the car door tightly and slowly started forcing his legs to walk towards the building. He reminded himself, it wouldn't be that bad but deep down he knew he was feeding himself lies. He knew the directress wouldn't like him back and he knew that things wouldn't change.

But he would deserve her punishments this time around right? It would would only be fair. If the cops won't punish him at least she would right?

Shinso opened the gate slowly, his hands shaking so much that he could barely hold the gate tight and took one last deep breath, clenching his hands tightly.

Yeah. It'll be fine. It's not even that bad, he dealt with it all his life. It's nothing wrong. Yeah. Everything's fine. Nothing's wrong yet. He hasn't been kicked out of UA yet. He still has some hope right?

Closing the gate behind him, Shinso slowly walked in, his hands clenching and unclenching with every step as he counted all the steps up to the mansion.

Aizawa watched from behind, concerned at how scared he was acting. Maybe he should investigate on that place? If Shinso was shaking so much at the thought of going somewhere then that place was certainly s bad environment.

Aizawa wasn't dumb. He has been a pro hero for years and seen countless kids with bad homes. He just never attached with them, thinking it's illogical to be attached with victims he saved. He simply saved them and put his trust that the government will make their lives better then it was.

But seeing Shinso that way made him hesitant, almost like he never wanted to let go off the kid. It would be rational to hear out a kid that needs some care right?

He was about to go in and stop Shinso when his phone rang.

"This is Eraserhead."

"Newspaper...? Alright, I'll be there soon."
