He was just walking. No trace of emotion was seen in his dead mauve eyes. He looked like he was a emotionless zombie, walking closer and closer towards his own doom. He didn't even bother looking down as the ground simple vanished with his next step.

And he fell...

Shinso jerked his head suddenly, taking deep breaths as he felt his heart beat thrum in his chest. The sensation of falling was still faintly felt. He blinked his eyes a couple of times before sitting straight up and looking around.

Oh. He was at Lunch Rush's cafeteria in UA.

He rubbed his eyes and yawned, his eyebags probably looking worse then ever.

Shinso was sitting on the edge of the long table, surrounded by his classmates, all chatting among themselves. No one was really paying attention to the tired lavender head.

He sipped on his coffee, the third one of the day to will himself to stay awake a little longer. He considered buying a sandwich from Lunch Rush but decided against it, wanting to save money to repay his foster sister.

Despite being kicked out at unholy hours of the night, Shinso had managed to stumble towards an alleyway he would visit quite often and despite the horrid smell from the dumpsters, the stray cats that lived there made it somewhat better.

Granted Shinso's whole body was aching from pain and he was suppressing tears and sobs the whole time he pat the cats, but life wasn't rainbows and sunshine.

To top it off he had a close encounter with a fucking physcopath that for some reason chased him around with a knife. That wasn't suprising though, considering how high the crime rate is in his neighbourhood.

He still wasn't sure if he should be thankful that he managed to crawl inside a covered slide in a park or upset he had escaped a chance to die.

Woah that was dark.

Shinso isn't...sucidal. He wants to be a hero and his willing to go through a couple of rough patches in order to achieve it.

His just tired, sleepy and hungry so his brain isn't functioning properly.

Anyone would be in his situation right?

Shinso flinched as one of his classmates brushed against his shoulder that was injured. The girl apologised and continued talking to some guy.

Shinso couldn't really care about keeping up with people's names when he has no want to have a friend.

It worked in his favour at times like this as no one seemed to notice his bloody and slightly torn white uniform under his gray jacket. After all, nobody cared to even question his bandaged up face and neck.

He'll have to clean the uniform as soon as he goes to his house.

Shinso was brought back from his thoughts as the sound of bustling students, chatter and footsteps erupted through the previously rather quiet room.

He glanced, catching a glimpse of a greenette before quickly turning away. The hero course students were back from training. Of course it would be loud.

He pretended not to be interested as he heard the endless chatter, all of them seemingly satisfied with whatever special class they had.

He didn't even realize his face had turned in to a jealous scowl, hearing how they spoke about their training that day.

He knew they had nothing to do with his weaknesses but he still couldn't help but see them as obstacles, people that were so much better and stronger. People he needed to beat. On his own.

He grits his teeth, his headache worsening as more people were talking and filling the room.

He glanced angrily at the table that was the loudest, planning on telling them to shut up when he saw a familiar bright blonde speaking as he ate his food quickly.

Shinso observed as the blonde happily continued to narrate some sort of story as the others laughed and commented on it, occasionally causing the explosion boy to yell.

Guess that's how people that are blessed with heroic quirks are. Not a privilege for people with villain quirks like him.

He stared at the group longingly for just a few more minutes before shaking his head.

There is a fine line between him and these people. He'll have to work much harder to cross it.

Shinso sighed getting up with his now empty coffee cup. He walked out of the lunch room, deciding he was way too tired to deal with their loud mouths.

----***----

Shinso heard the sound of a car drive by, faintly blocked by the music playing on his headphones. He had his hands in his pocket's and was humming the rhyme of the song playing as he walked in an even pace towards his house.

Althought he promised himself he'll get as much Candy Apples as he could, the few money he had left only let him buy a single one. Though, he knew she would appreciate one, he couldn't help but think it wasn't enough to express his gratitude.

Without her help, he might of had to endure way worse then a couple of hits and electrocution.

Shinso had a hard time keeping a stone face though as his mind jumped from situation to situation that could occur when he arrived back at the foster home.

He could be banned from eating or going outside, (unless it was school) have his electronics removed, sleep in a bed with no mattress or rug, locked in a cupboard maybe even muzzled.

Shinso shuddered at the last thought. He definetly did not want to think about that.

He was playing NF's song Let me go, eyes closed and too distracted listening to the lyrics to notice the many people crowding together, whispers and mutters being heard among them.

Shinso accidently bumped on a short elderly woman, bringing him back to reality. "Sorry ma'am." He apologized, his headphones falling off his ears at the impact.

She just shrugged and turned away, looking in front of him as if something very important was going on.

Shinso's raised his eyebrows, finally aware of the commotion.

He rolled his eyes, as commotions were normal in this part of town where crime rates was up. Shinso wasn't interested in wasting his time and getting in more trouble. He put his headphones back on and pushed the many crowded people to make his way to his house.

Normally it would be some of the folks who live in the area starting fights drunk as the whole neighborhood just watching until police arrive but this crowd...was bigger then usual.

He heard many whispers as he pushed past people, some of their faces filled with worry and others with pity. Because of the music playing he didn't hear what they were saying and to be honest he didn't really care what caused so many people to gather around, he just wanted to get to his foster house soon.

Shinso was skeptical but then he managed to get to the front of the commotion right in front of his house and froze. His mauve eyes were wide and he could swear his heart skipped a beat as the candy apple he held in his hand fell to the ground.

The song was playing loud but other thoughts consumed him immediately. For a second the only thing he could see was his foster house's yard covered with crime tapes, police cars and people with uniforms scurrying in and out of the house in fast paces, carrying what looked like a body bag out of there. Everything else was pitch black and all the sound's around him became a muffle.

The only sound he could hear was the quite but distant last verses of the song as he started trembling, his thoughts bringing the worst possible scenario to his head.

100% recommend NF's Let me go. Incredibly relatable and I just love the lyrics.
