Remember how I said love was a choice? It's an ongoing choice so they can also choose to stop loving you. I would argue that there is something kind to be said as they part, but its likely both will be hurt by words taken back and decide to tell each other that they don't care how the other feels. More than likely there will be embarrassment, sadness, and anger. The world will act like it's nothing, happens everyday, and to keep moving forward. You cannot make someone love you, if they don't.
Do they lose your love because they stopped loving you? Questions like that make me look at the strongest love of my life my mother and my step father and my sister. If any of them told me they stopped loving me I would never give up on turning that around. When I think about loyalty I know it's not shut on shut off thing. Your people can do their thing and you will still love them. Even if it's leaving them behind.
