I used think I would always believe people who say, "love yourself", don't truly understand love or what people want. They tell you to take care of yourself physically harness your mind such that you do not lose control or your temper.
Kindness and honesty make you a good person and keep being those and you will show all who see what you are able to create through that.
The growth and respect and love that comes from doing that. You will not love yourself unless you are kind and honest. You have to accept yourself so the first step is to own up to you sins and make amends for them. You own yourself. You did it and you will keep working to evolve. Your people that you let get close should respect you and treat you kindly as well and if they do not maybe you should leave them alone.
Keep in mind that many people love themselves too much. They are selfish and narcissistic. Take care of yourself and choose some people to take care of. You'll love yourself for that.
