I quickly realize the target is in the shape of the person and she hit the center of the head. Remind me to stay far from her.

Madam hands me a gun and I take it, standing beside Nat. She looked really hot in the suit, standing there like a professional. What? No, I didn't think that. Not me, nope.

Leona takes her shot, then a second. The first one missed, the second one hit the side of the head.

Nat was the only one in front of me, now. I watched her aim at the chest, a hole forming right in the center at the same time a shot rang out.

She walks to the end of the line, behind Leona. I hold the gun out, pointing the barrel at the head.

First shot hit the head and I pulled back, gaping at the board.

The rest of the girls went, and once the last girl went, the line restarted. Every once and a while, Madam would change the target board.

The same thing went on for a few days. After what I think was 15... no, 16 days, Nat catches me before I enter my room for the night.

"May I come in?"

"Are you allowed?"

"Probably not."

"Come in." I open the door the rest of the way, glancing down the hall as I close the door behind us. I press the button and the furniture comes out.

"I wanted to talk to you."

"About?"

"Do you remember anything from home?"

I think for a second, recalling my childhood. It seemed I had been here forever.

"No."

"Name?"

"No."

"Didn't think so. So, I..." she sat on the bed next to me, leaning against the wall while facing me. "You're really cool. You're fun. We've only known each other... however long, I don't know what day it is, and we can't talk much, but from what I know, you're a good person."

"Same to you, Nat." I smile.

"See, and that's just it. That smile. That's what drives me every day. To see you again, talk to you, be around you. And, I, uh... wanted to give you this." She reached into her back pocket and pulled out a small locket. She handed it to me and I looked at it, then back to her. Then back to the locket.

"Why? And, and how the Hell did you get it in here? I haven't seen anything from outside these walls besides trees in forever."

"I have my ways." She smiled. Even with faded scars, she was beautiful. Not that scars weren't beautiful, they were, of course, but Nat...

"Of course you do." I clip the locket around my neck, examining it.

She grabs my hand, taking it in hers. She seemed much warmer than I was.

"Is... this okay?" She asks as she intertwines our fingers. My face heats up but I manage a slow nod and a smile. She smiles back widely, and it comforted me.

The lights shut off, engulfing us in darkness. I squeeze her hand, "you should probably get back to your room. I'll see you in the morning."

**

The same suit is sitting in front of the door. I never hear anyone come in or even wake up in the night.

I slip on the suit, knowing something is different about today. I just know. I grab a gun from the bin of weapons and press the button on my way out, shutting the door and searching for Nat.

I spot her bright red hair and trot over to her. I grab her hand and she leads the way to the Red Room. All the other girls enter before us, guns in hand.

"Today," Madam began, "as you all know, is different."

Eleven men with bags over their heads kneeled by the windowed wall, their hands behind their backs.

Eleven men. Eleven girls, eleven guns.

We line up in front of the men, Nat let go of my hand and stood beside me.

Silent sobs were noticed from the shaking shoulders of some of the men. They already knew what was happening. Madam nodded and all of us held our gun out, a synchronized click as safety was turned off.

"One."

A gunshot echoed and a man wavered, eventually falling forward with a pool of blood forming around the bag over his head.

"Two."

Same for the next man. My heart beat slightly faster as more shots went off. The line went down, I came before Nat. The girl beside me fired her gun. I swallowed and pulled the trigger.

I watched as the man fell to the ground. I didn't even know who my victim was.

My first victim, I told myself. There will be more.

Nat threw me a reassuring glance as she fired her gun. She made everything look so easy, for example, murder.

The last man came crashing down and Madam stood in front of us, separating us from the men.

"Find a partner." She bossed in a monotone, robotic tone.

I turned to Nat as she turned to me, smiling. The other girls searched for a moment before settling with a partner I was pretty sure they didn't know. One girl was left out, she had blonde hair and looked ecstatic to be left behind.

"Find an empty room identical to this one." She looked between all of us, but then stared harshly directly at me. "You. Stay." Her glare shifted to Nat, "and you."

We nodded as the other girls scurried out, the blonde standing in place. She turned to Madam expectantly. I waited for one of them to say something but neither of them did.

Madam turned to us, waving the blonde away. She folded her arms behind her back, straightening her spine as she looked between us. She motioned to our guns with her head.

"Only one of you will make it out of this room."

Hi! Author here, how are you guys liking this story? People seemed to really like my other Nat x reader, someone wanted me to continue it. Sadly, I had specifically planned for that to be the end of it, but here's another if anyone wants it. I don't really have much of a plan, I'm making it up as I go, but I do have some ideas for their future. Should I give your Character a name? Maybe make one for herself, get assigned one, but she won't have her birth name, not that that matters.

Anyway, peace 👽✌🏻
