Star told me about Huey on the way to the rink. Her voice and face changed when she was talking about him.

I could tell she was trying her best to keep her mind off of him. 

So I did what I do best, and tried changing the subject.

I plugged the cord in my phone and scrolled down through my list.

We pulled up to the rink just as the song finished but we didn't get our just yet.

"Thanks for that Jaz. I really needed it"

"Of course. That's what a best friend is for, isn't it?"

"That's right. Now get your ass out this car so we can go skate! It's girls night biatch!!"

"Hell yeah!!"

I closed the car door and she locked the door, then we went inside.

It didn't take that long to get our skates. Suprisingly, there wasn't that many people there at the rink.

So we kinda had the whole thing to ourself. Which in my book, was an advantage.

Me and Star were getting down. We were going backwards, sideways, anyway you could think of!

I'm just glad I was able to help her get her mind off of Huey. Otherwise, it would have eaten her alive from the inside out.

Just then, they played Crybaby by Megan Thee Stallion.

I'm pretty sure that's when I went crazy. I was doing all types of shit, that I never do. I don't think I've ever seen Star laugh so much in her life. But it made me happy.

I'm glad she texted me today cause otherwise, this wouldn't have been possible. THIS AWESOME FUCKING GIRL'S NIGHT!!!

After we skated for about an hour or two, we went back to the house, and picked up Astro and got some ice cream. And a little pup cream for Astro.

We sat down on a bench and just relaxed for a bit.

"Today was a lot of fun Jaz"

"It really was. But it's not over yet. We have a full on sleepover tonight, remember?"

She laughed.

"How could I forget?"

Damn. It was getting dark already.

"Come on. We should start getting back. Is getting dark"

"Already? But it seems like we just got our here"

"That's almost the same exact thing I said in my head"

She laughed again.

"Come on"

She grabbed Astro's leash and we started walking back to the car.

I felt chills run up my arms walking towards the car.

"Is it just me or did it start getting colder?"

"It's not just you. Me and Astro are literally freezing over here"

"Now I can't wait to get back to your house"

"Same here"

She started the car, turned on the heat, and we drove off.
