A lady opened the door. This must be her auntie.

"Oh. Hello. May I help you?"

"Hello. I'm Huey. Huey Freeman. I live right down the street and I'm here to see Star"

"You know Star?"

"Yes ma'am. We go to school together and she's been coming over my house after school"

She raised her eyebrow.

"Did she not tell you about me Ms..?

"Davis. Luna Davis. And no she did not"

"Hmm. I thought she would have by now"

"So how long have you two known each other Mr. Freeman?"

"For about a couple of weeks now. We first met in school. We have all classes together"

"Oh really?"

"Yes ma'am"

"Well come in!"

She moved out of the way in front of the door to let me in. I must say, they have a nice house.

"Star is upstairs in her room. STAR!!"

She opened the door and came and looked over the banister.

"Yes aunti- Oh it's you afro boy"

I still can't believe she can't remember our names.

"Come on up"

I followed her up the stairs.

"Oh. It was nice meeting you Ms. Davis"

"Same here"

She smiles at me and I went upstairs. Star was sitting on her bed. I went and sat by her.

"How have you been Star?"

"Eh, I can't complain. It's been okay. And you?"

"You have no idea"

"Why'd you come over?"

"I wanted to see you"

"Why?"

"I don't know. I just wanted to. Jazmine's been holding me back from seeing you, but she finally let me come and see you"

"Why was she holding you back?"

"She wanted me to give you some time"

"Oh"

"Star?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you remember my name?"

She looked at me for a good long second and shook her head.

"So it hasn't came back"

She stood up off the bed and rubbed her stomach.

"Ooh. I'm hungry. I'm gonna make something to eat. You want something?"

"No. I'm good"

"You sure? No salami and crackers? Nothing?"

"I don't eat meat star"

Quick switch to Star's POV

Just when he said that, I felt this loud ringing in my ears. It was piercing.

I cupped my ears and fell on the floor hoping it would go away. I groaned in pain. What the hell is happening?

I felt arms wrap around me.

"Star! Are you okay? What's wrong?!"

Then it went away.

"Yeah. I'm fine, Huey.

My eyes went wide.

"Oh thank go- What did you say?"

I smiled and jumped on him and hugged him.

He was shocked I could tell because he didn't move for a second. He hugged be back with no hesitation.

I was so happy in that moment. I had got a part of my memory back. One of the best parts.

I broke the hug and got up and so did Huey.

"Still not hungry?"

"Yes. I'm not"

"Okay. Well wait here, I'm gonna make me some lunch"

"Yes ma'am"

I walked away but then my dumbass tripped over air, but as always Huey caught me just before I hit the ground.

"Hooooowwwww do you do that?"

"Instinct"

"Well never lose that, because if you do, I'll end up in the hospital"

He slightly smiled.

I smiled too.

"Why are you so happy?"

"Because I made you smile again! And you said I couldn't! Hm!"

He rolled his eyes let me go and I fell on the floor. I don't know why, but I laughed.

"OWW! HUEY!! THAT HURT DAMN IT!!"

"Guess, I lost my "Instinct"

I got up and brushed myself off and hit him in his arm.

"That was not funny"

"Kinda was"

"Ughhh"

I left out my room and went downstairs.
