The team was scheduled to meet with Ricardo Flores at his office as soon as they landed.
Once they exited the elevators of the immaculate high rise office building, they were greeted and ushered into a large office that was bigger than most apartments. Everything about Flores exuded wealth and status which piqued Caleb's curiosity as to what his personality would be like. The team was no stranger to snobby foreign dignitaries that treated them like they were inferior or flat out ignored them completely. On the other hand, they had also worked for several clients who treated them like family causing Caleb to try and guess which category Flores would fall under.
Flores entered seconds later with his arms outstretched in a grandiose gesture and a big smile across his face.
"Gentlemen. Welcome," Flores said genuinely as he approached Declan for a handshake.
"I have heard a lot about you and your team Mr. Packard and I've got to say you all look even more impressive in person." Flores was beaming and seemed genuinely impressed with the team and their accomplishments.
"Declan is fine sir, and thank you, we're happy to help in any way we can."
"Excellent."
"This is Marcus, Pierce, and Caleb." Declan said, introducing the team as Flores shook each member's hand.
"I trust Hunter has briefed you on the situation at hand." Flores asked.
"Yes sir, we are fully briefed and ready."
"I expected nothing less. As far as your accommodations you will be staying on the grounds in the main house with my family and myself and we hope that you will make our home yours for the next few weeks. I fully plan on keeping the grounds security running and would like for you and your team to coordinate with them on exterior security."
"We appreciate the hospitality sir and yes I'll meet with your grounds security team as soon as we arrive."
"Now I'm assuming you'll be assigned to me, Declan?" Flores asked.
"Correct."
"Fantastic, Also I wanted to make you aware that Elaina has a medical condition. It's mild and well controlled with medication, but she has occasional attacks. I'd like your man with the medical training to be charged with her care."
"Done." Declan responded instantly.
Fuck. Yes.
Pierce pressed his lips into a thin line with the corners of his mouth barely curling as he smothered a smile.
"Caleb here is the best there is." Declan said with pride.
"What's the medical condition sir?" Caleb asked, with genuine curiosity.
"It's a genetic disorder called Gitelman syndrome. Are you familiar?"
"I have a basic understanding, but I'll be an expert by morning. Hypokalemia and Hypomagnesemia?"
Flores folded his arms across his chest, amazed at Caleb's medical knowledge.
"Both. The chronic Hypokalemia seems to be what she has the most symptoms from, but she's lived with this condition for a while and has it pretty well controlled with medication, her case is all around pretty mild, but I'd like for her to be charged with someone who is well versed in her condition."
"I look forward to being that person sir." Caleb said, giving Flores a reassuring smile.
"Marcus here, will be assigned to your wife Camila and Pierce will be assigned to your son James." Declan interjected, solidifying the team's individual assignments.
