“I love the fact that you can cook, LiLi,” the blonde-haired boy states, stealing a piece of toast from one of the plates.

Liam chuckles at Niall’s antics for a moment before putting the pan in the sink and taking the plates to the table. He sits down while Niall grabs cutlery for them, excluding spoons of course. “Is that why you keep me around?” Liam teasingly asks once they’re both seated.

“That, and you’re a comfy pillow,” Niall quips with a wink. Upon seeing the false look of dismay upon Liam’s face, Niall rolls his eyes and adds, “I guess it’s also because I like your or something like that.”

“Oh jeez, thanks for that,” Liam retorts. “I guess it’s only fair, though, since I really just keep you here because you’re a leprechaun.”

“I hate you,” the Irish boy mutters, glaring at his British counterpart.

“I love you, too.”

Niall just smiles back at the boy sitting across the table from him. They continue to enjoy their breakfast in a comfortable silence, appreciating the moment of calm before another busy day of work. All too soon, there is a knock at the door. Before either of the boys can stand up, they hear the sound of the door opening.

“Boys, are you up?” Paul calls into the hotel room, glancing around at the mess the two boys had managed to make in just one night. He breathes in and notices the smell of cooked sausage, so he decides to check the kitchen.

“Yeah, we were just finishing up some brekkie,” Liam replies as Paul walks through the doorway to the kitchenette. “There’s a bit extra if you’d like some.”

“No time for that, lads. The show is outdoors, so we need to get there as soon as possible before they start allowing fans to line up outside,” Paul informs them. He turns on his heel and is out the door in just seconds, leaving two frazzled lads in his wake.

“I know them as Liam, Niall, Harry, Louis, and Zayn… Please welcome One Direction!” a woman says from the open stage, raising her voice to be heard over the massive crowd.

On cue, the five boys run out onto the stage, causing thousands of fangirls to squeal. No matter how famous they got, none of the boys could ever get used to the screaming and shouting that made their eardrums feel like bursting. As a matter of fact, Zayn was almost positive that one of his eardrums had burst during their first concert.

The hostess of the show greets each of the boys. When she reaches Niall, they share a few jokes about the fact that they’re ‘family’ because of how similar they look, each with their short, blonde locks and natural paleness. The crowd goes even wilder (if that’s even possible), and the hostess has to wait for them to quiet down before she can begin the main segment of the show.

Throughout the show, the band performs a song, and even participates in a game where three lucky fans are brought up to the stage. These fans, which are unsurprisingly all female, are blindfolded and each asked to find a specific member of the band using only their other four senses. In short, the lads are all felt up by random girls. When the last girl is told to find Harry, the lad in question sneaks offside and sends a stagehand into the group to confuse the poor girl. The game ends with the fans receiving iPads, and then it is time for the usual interview.

Once the stools are set back up, Ellen takes a seat on one of the two stools in the middle, leaving the boys to take seats on either side of her. Everyone settles down, allowing Ellen to start questioning the five famous boys. She asks a few random questions, but soon gets to the one that everyone is awaiting: “Which of the boys is single?”
