"Well, mine's a doe." The redhead spoke timidly, a blush tinging her features. Eleanor just shrugged. "Oh, come on. El, matching Patronus'."

"But I thought you and Jack were together." She said, frowning slightly. It felt like a big chunk of information was missing. "And to quote what you said: you 'wouldn't go out with him if it was a choice between James and the giant squid'. So, what changed. It's been about two weeks."

"Well, I was supposed to be breaking things off with Jack the other week but every time we make plans, he cancels. I just want to let him off easily. He's done nothing wrong." Lily explained, a guilty expression dug into her features. "As you said ages ago, I've liked him for a while but I was trying to hide it. That was probably just my own guilt. But I feel like this huge weight has been lifted from me." She added with a nervous laugh.

"As long as your happy." The blonde replied, pulling in the smaller girl for a side hug as they walked to the Great Hall for lunch.

"Alright, Evans?" James asked when the boys sat at the table. Both Remus and Peter looked dumbfounded when she smiled at the bespectacled boy, answering the question without a shouting match occurring.

"Did I hit my head on the way here?" Peter asked, gawking from his seat opposite Eleanor. She was sure that Remus thought the same as he looked at the girl with disbelief. He'd obviously missed something. "Somebody pinch me, I must be dreaming." He added, watching the two Gryffindor's that were talking in hushed whispers. "Ow. I didn't mean literally!" Peter whined after a loud thud under the table. Though, Sirius just wanted an excuse to boot him. He'd been stealing his pranking supplies and refused to replace them.

"What do you know?" Remus questioned, narrowing his eyes at the blonde who simply shrugged.

"I told you. All in good time, Lupin. Best prepare to payout, you and Marlene owe me a galleon each." She said, a smirk pulling at her lips. The boy opposite her just rolled his eyes but there was a smile still on his lips.

"The Draught of Living Death is a very powerful sleeping potion that can be made by adding powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood. The Draught of Living Death brings upon its drinker a very powerful sleep that can last indefinitely. This draught is very dangerous if not used with caution ... This is an extremely dangerous potion. Execute with maximum caution." Dorcas read aloud from her textbook as the blonde was already measuring out the ingredients. She had made this potion many times before, at Beauxbatons, it was like her speciality in the fifth year and had gotten her top marks in her exam when she brewed the Draught. So her mother's instructions were engrained in her like scriptures, she just hoped to find that potion book before taking her NEWTs next year, although that may not be likely due to her current predicament.

"Once you know how to brew the potion, it is quite simple." Eleanor commented, grabbing the Sopophorus bean and crushing it with the side of her blade. Everyone else was trying to collect their ingredients still, not hearing of some of them that are used in this potion.

"What are you doing?" A nosy boy asked, peering at their work station from his table next to him. Unfortunately, Lily still had to be paired with Snape but she did get to switch tables in order to be close to the girls.

"Brewing the potion, what does it look like?" Ellie huffed, shooting him a pointed look as he hovered over the girl. "Get any closer and your nose will be touching the bottom of that cauldron." She said with a sarcastic smile on her lips, causing the boy to scoff in disgust.
