ASPYN'S POV:

After dinner in the great hall had ended I made my way into the library as there was still around an hour until curfew. I had wanted to pick up some advanced potions books, as I had already completed most of the basic potions in my spare time. After I had collected the books I made my way towards our common room. I had been notified that as of this new term, the riddle password would be changed every week so that the other houses could only get in if one of us let them in. The same thing would happen with the other common rooms too.

Recently, and by recently I mean around the end of last year, lots of Gryffindor's and Slytherins were sneaking in to our common room and stealing the enchanted books from there. You see the books in our common room are special; they have a spell on there that helps you retain the information a little bit better. And the other houses wanted these books for their own common room. I don't think they understood all they had to do is ask Dumbledore for some and he would most likely comply. Especially for the Gryffindor's, we all know he favoured them over the rest of us.

As I was walking back, I couldn't help but picture Ginny's face during the meal in the Great Hall and I wasn't sure what her and the twins were talking about during dinner. I was curious though, and I presumed it was most likely about me as they kept looking over in my direction. All I knew is that George and Fred had a look of distress and Ginny had a sympathetic look on her face. I shrugged it off about five minutes away from the common room, and I started thinking about what the new riddle might be, usually they are quite easy for Ravenclaw's but other houses find them rather tricky. I finally reached the painting.

"How does one get rid of a rather bad rash?" The painting said. I took a moment to think of it.

"With Quit-itch?". She opened the door. I couldn't help but think how easy that was and wonder who came up with it. It was probably Percy's stupid girlfriend. She was a bit dim witted sometimes, and sometimes I have no clue how she is in Ravenclaw. I walked into the common room and ended walking straight into her. Speak of the devil and she will be there.

"OMG, hey little Weasley!" Penelope exclaimed.

"I asked you not to call me that Penelope?" I asked, trying not to sound overly rude.

"Well I know, but its just such a cute nickname, and I just think it suits you."

"Fine whatever, night Penelope." I walked upstairs as quick as my legs would take me.

The next morning I was up nice and early, and I was excited. I had double potions first, and then a break and Snape usually let me stay in his classroom at break so that I could practice my spell-crafting. Not many people would agree with me; but Snape was my favourite teacher. I thought his sarcastic attitude was amusing and I think his potion making skills are impressive. Plus he's always very nice to me, and he never bullies me or anything. I think I remind him of some Lilly girl. I think they were best friends when he was little, I'm not sure though.

I got dressed in my school uniform and made my way down to breakfast along with Luna and Cho. Of course the usual buffet was there and I couldn't help but admit that I had missed the school elves cooking. I mean the odd person might think they do it beyond their will, but I understand that the house elves actually like to cook and serve us. So therefore I don't think that its a giant problem.

I served myself and Cho some coffee and Luna some orange juice and then we all piled food onto our plates. I had some toast with some butter, sausages and eggs.

After I finished my breakfast, I headed towards potions class. I got there five minutes early and so I sat in my seat from last year and stayed silent; as I knew Snape didn't like talking to people really...
